she is really annoying

In the beginning I thought of Katara as a Canon Sue, but she???s grown on me and now I appreciate her as a developed character with her perks and flaws. Toph is a great character but I need to see more development from her side before she fits in with the cast like Katara does. Y???all might want to rave at me about that but Katara???s been in twenty-seven episodes vs. Toph???s two. All I???m saying is that Toph needs to grow as a character, but as a newbie she???s fabulous.

I kind of found her mean last night's episode. But in a lot of the episodes I do find her annoying, some times I don't mind her as much though.

I like how insane Katara went on Aang. And Toph fighting bck, I like them both, probably most. Girl power, yet I'm a boy. ^^

I realy wanted them to have a cat fight but NO Aang had to stop it.

Yeah, at least Sokka knew better and stayed out of it, therefore avoiding getting his head ripped off by one of them. I daresay he's had experience with girls, what with being 15 years old. (Or 16, I don't know heh )

I'm not sure if it is because people prefer someone like Toph who is openly selfish and impolite, as to someone like Katara who tries to admit her mistakes.

A friend of mine told me;

"Is it because of how characters that may be usually be prided in animated series coming from the east, may not be prided in animated series made for audiences in the west?

Because I do admire characters who put aside their pride, like Katara. Over characters who are more self absorbed.

What I find amazing is how people can bash Katara without considering how patient she usually is.

Maybe people detest characters that they are envious of.
As much I know how that feels...sometimes the: "OMG I hate Katara" is too unfair.

I don't find her annoying, I like her. (I support Kataang, so no surprise there.) She just has a better attitude than Toph, though I like Toph too.

I've been dreaming of a catfight between them, I hope it comes true.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Katara really isn't all that bad. Her attitude just annoys me, sure she tries to help others and be patient, but that mixed with a know-it-all bossy teen just ticks me off. But everyone dislikes a character, it's not really fair to make a topic like this. I know I have, but I understand things better and stuff like that. Eveyone will dislike one character and dislike another, so get over it people. Everyone is different and likes or dislikes something that someone else will like or dislike.
