    Thought you guys might like this. I enjoyed the series but this cast...I thought there should at least be one Asian person since it based on Asian culture.

    Aang- Noah Ringer (karate star)

    Sokka- Jackson Rathbone (Twilight)

    Katara- Nicola Peltz (Deck the Halls)

    Zuko- Jesse McCartney (singer)

    First to vote! i picked the last one of course

    I really mixed on this....

    I really really like that there is an unknown for Aang... i believe that i have seen Noah's picture before and was totaly for him to have the role

    Jackson Rathbone......er.....yes, he is very hot is twilight....but i really dont think that he could pull of Sokka.... he seens too tall and too old....

    Nicola Peltz...i didnt know who she was...i havent seen the movies that shes been in...shes kinda new, so i like that.... I looked up her pic...and honestly, i thought she could pull off Katara very nicly... even if she isnt what i would have as my first choice... I thought that they might have someone darker play Katara more similar to the series....but apparently not.... J

    esse McCartney is the WORST THING THEY COULD DO FOR THE MOVIE! He doesnt fit the part at all!! He's even not that great of an actor! Zuko is a really complex character...and i just really doupt that he can pull it off. He doesnt even look like him in any way! I seriously almost choked when i found out that he was doing it...

    So yeah....mixed feelings about this...

    I thought I hated M. Night after seeing those stupid previews for that piece of pig sh*th film, "the Happening", but after this...

    One of my favorite actors from Twilight playing Sokka?! Heck, freaking, yes!

    Twilight and Avatar= Best thing ever.

    Good choices M. Night.

    Hearing about Jesse McCartney made me lol though.

    Uh...isn't Jesse Mcartney blonde? I know they can dye it 9and they better. Blonde Zuko? uh...doesn't fit). and wasn't he w/ Disney for a while? He better watch it or they'll go where all the strayed disney actors go: The back row in one of the countries in THE SMALL WORLD RIDE!!! If you go there you'll notice Hilary Duff kneeling in the back of the Netherlands section.

    When I saw that Jesse McCartney is playing Zuko, I screamed for about five minutes. McCartney is, like the exact opposite of Zuko! I can't see him as the complex and aangsty person Zuko is AT ALL. What happened to casting unknowns? Although I guess they figured that they needed some "star power". My expectations for this film just went WAY down, but at least the efects will be decent...

    Thats it BOYCOTT THIS MOVIE!! Or better yet! On the next week go and see The Guardians of Ga'Hoole(Directed by Zack Synder, Dawn of The Dead, 300, And Watchman)

    I'm pretty okay with the cast EXCEPT for Jesse!! ugh what are they thinking? Can he even act? He's too much of a pretty boy to be Zuko! But he wasn't officially confirmed to be playing Zuko yet right? I am not believing that any of those people are going to be in the movie until i see their names on The Last Airbender IMDB page.

    I don't know anything, but I know that some musicians have theatrical skills, like Ben Folds. he never had a carreer as an actor, but he puts up a good performance when he is live in concert and when he records his music. He also had a background in theatre when he was in school.


    So what I'm saying is....


    it's better for somebody with vocal skills, such as a singer, (whether or not it makes any sense, I think Dante basco is number one for the role) than to pick an engineer.

    So picking somebody in the entertainment business is the better than picking somebody who isn't.

    Also, can somebody please tell me who this Jesse McCartney person is? I'm having trouble remembering. XD

    Well, he has some measure of acting skill, though it's only voice acting. He was Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 2.

    I question his ability to play the brooding angsty Zuko we all know. His hair and eye color are irrelevant, that's what make up is for.

    He'll have to prove himself if he takes the part(people do need to realize they were only offered the parts. Not 100% official yet.

    ur right about the singer part and he had a recent hit. (I just can never remeber the name of that song. I'll look it up & get back to you). The only acting I've ever seen him do, though, is on Suit Life and he played himself. So that's not really a great place to start judging. But, on the positive the character him was pretty cool so...maybe he'll surprise us. Did anyone think Patrick from 10 Things I Hate About You would end up giving such a creepily awsome, Oscar-buzzing, Joker performance? (ok, honesty time, I never saw it b/c I'd be the scaredy cat hiding her eyes in a turtle neck but i hear he's good.)
