    Ok, curtesy of CosmoGirl I have more Jesse's acting skills info. He's had 2 Daytime Emmy nominations for his role on All My Children. He also starred on Summerland (w/ Aunt Becky from Full House ). and this has nothing to do w/ acting but he cowrote Bleeding Love. Hmm...Emmies, idk, maybe we're underestimating. Also, he's got dark brown/black hair now.

    i think a lot of people are overreacting. give him a chance. just because his last three films werent as good as the first ones doesnt mean this one will be bad also.and jesse mccartney does have the potential to be zuko...he was also in law and order svu a few weeks ago..search it on youtube...the boy got tons of fluids coming from his face when he is confessing

    Jesse's voice doesnt seem to be that far off of Zuko's at least.

    If any of you are questioning his acting ability watch the episode in Summerland where his parents are killed. He can do drama, that's not the point though.

    The point is if HE is right for the role.

    The series is influenced by Asian design, architecture, clothing, landscape, characters and even some of the myths (the giant sea turtle).

    It seems, however that Hollywood is scared of Asians. Look at the movie 21 which was based on true events but the people involved were Asian. Hollywood white washed them and made them white in the movie.

    The counter argument though is that most of America won't know any better. The only people that will know are fans of the series.

    jesse as zuko throws up he can't do martial arts and yes i know he was in sutherland with aunt becky from full house. but i never bother watching it cuz i have better things to do with my summer than watching awful sitcoms. didn't that show get cancelled? Also they better have a gymnist with big boobs for ty lee. I'm talking anime size XD drools

    I'm not surprised at people's reactions about Jesse McCartney playing Zuko. Trust me, my eyes widened quite a bit when I read the news. I remembered that I wasn't exactly happy when he was going to play Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 2, but he surprisingly won me over in that one. Course that was a video game and this is a live action film. But anyway, I'll refrain from any judgment on Jesse being Zuko until the film comes out.

    As for them not casting Asians dealy, again, I'll refrain judgment on that. But I can't say that I'm surprised.

    uh, I'm afraid big boobed gymnasts don't excist. They have work out with their bodies like, I know my sister did it, about 5 or six hours a day. The muscles reduce the chest size. They ould gaat a cheerleader, but that's a huge streatch. The most they can do is a lame back-handspring and a back tuck so low u think the're gonna hit their heads off the floor.

    All I know is in the sequel Book 2 they BETTER get " The Rock " to play the Boulder! there is no other person that fits the part .. the boulder says he doesn't fight little girls lol

    I looked up Jesse on Law and Order.... That crying scene with his girlfriend... yeah.. um.. yeah. I've seen A LOT better.. although it doesn't help that the dialogue is really REALLY corny.

    But the courtroom scene when he was talking to the cops he was pretty good.

    As for the rest of the cast, I don't really care. Although, the actors for Katara and Sokka don't look Eskimo-ish. Isn't that supposed to be their culture?

    Okay I'm not so crazy about Jesse McCartney playing Zuko either.(I imagined a billion other actors that I would have loved to play the part in my imaginary version of the movie) But maybe it won't be that bad. I have seen some of his other roles that he was pretty good in, like that courtroom scene that someone mentioned.

    Hmm. I don't know what to say. I can't make a final judgement until I see them in character, but for now I'm not impressed. We'll just have to wait and see.

    he doesn't have enough fangirls to draw attention to this post not to mention this movie. Their so wasting money on him. if they only care about fame they should of gotten that gay guy from high school musical. zac efron i think is his name.
