Well, I think Sokka's humor is pretty forced sometimes, but he's a lot better than Tucker on Danny Phantom, whose humor is COMPLETELY forced.?? Pretty much every show has that guy who talks too much, and Avatar got it about 85% right when they created Sokka.

Oh my God I've always thought the exact same thing (even used Danny Phantom as my template).?? The comic relief characters are always shallow, annoying and underdeveloped. But??with Sokka, I don't know how but he??became one??of my favorite characters. His character's??was a bit weak at some points this??seaon??but??the Library showed that he was still alive and kicking. Any time??I start to doubt, I just??remember Siege of the North. ????

Well like the first seaon by the finale Sokka would show his awsome side.

Sokka is awesome, every time I've ever laughed while watching the show it was something Sokka said or did. Jack DeSena is great.

Sokka and Jack, there both great!! Now that I think about it Sokka's humor is a little bit fourced.?? Also I know what you mean about Danny Phantom, the show itself was shallow thats why I stopped watching it.?? Wow, I should be disgusing this on a Danny Phantom forum. Or cource then the fans will beat me with a club.

Don't try it. I know from personal experience that the people at that forum are very protective of their favorite characters...

Avatar isn't dark or soap oprahish. Its pretty light hearted stuff actually. Also doebnt underestimate nick its not al spongebob. At time inside the show Hey Arnold was more sad then anything in avatar. Ever watched as told by Ginger I dought many kids would "get" that show. A female friend of mine cried during the rugrats movie and even though I teased her the seens with chuckies mom were really sad.

Okay, the soap opera thing was a joke! And yes, Nickelodeon can put out some really good shows, heck, they brought us this show we're writing about right now. I'm just saying that this show happens to have plot and a point, Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents were just counter examples.

Yeah, Rugrats in Paris was a tearjerker. But I have to disagree with your Hey Arnold comment. I felt that saying Arnold's parents could still be alive out there detracted from the sympathy I felt for Arnold.

No I mean his cool side where he's smart and awsome like Season 1's finale.

Season 1 finaly definitely showed a side of Sokka that was very unexpected. I was very excited and I hope they show that side again. He seems more like a real person when he's not constantly being sarcastic. And I thought it was cool when he freaked out at Uway's (sorry don't know how to spell it) fiance when he said she came with quirks. Very cool.

    "Perks" not "quirks".

Yeah seriously, any change in the show now would start a rebellion!

It has some quirks which I can find funny. It's not like stupid "fart" comedy like Spongebob. I'm okay with the humor in it.

I don't believe Spongebob ever uses "fart" comedy. I find Spongebob's humor more tasteful than Mr. Meaty's, which does utilize quite a bit of fart humor.

I guess you're right. Spongebob isn't that much of a "fart" comedy like Mr. Meaty, but other than that Mr. Meaty shouldn't even be a show, period. It's just as bad as Catscratch and most shows on Nick.

Maybe some of the humor seems forced because its usually sarcastic humor. Like when sokka promises to become vegetarian and straight forward but the first thing he asks Aang is if he has meat. And hes sarcastic during their whole conversation. And Sokka's even sarcastic when hes serious.

I'm perfectly fine with the humor in this show. It's not like they have a bunch of??**** jokes or anything.
