I figure Azula's mental state will gradually unravel from here on out until she ends up losing control and burning or blowing herself up.

Speaking of CM's third eye (Sorry guys, I promise this is the last time I'll bring it up )...

The third eye is mainly associated with clairvoyance, or "second sight." I was thinking, since CM had obviously such a highly developed third eye, it would make sense that he was at least somewhat clairvoyant. That would explain how he was able to track the Gaang so well; he psychically knew where they were or where they were going to be. In other words he had "remote viewing" capability.

Also, to go back to the horizontal line marks, I wonder if it is significant that CM's marks are dark as opposed to Shiva's which are white.
Yeah she does seem to do that in the finale trailer where she chucked a hairbrush at a mirror because she hallucinated an image of Ursa. She is mentally weak now

She might pull a Lady MacBeth, where the guilt she feels for all her past sins (that she's buried) drives her nuts, until finally she's weeping "Out damned spot" while obsesively washing her hands.

There's other Shakespeare allusions in that f***ed up family, so I wouldn't be suprised if the writers did really draw from "MacBeth."
Interesting! I believe that when Ursa is brought back into the fold for whatever reason Azula will feel a sense of guilt and she starts hallucinating about her mother until an inevitable confrontation where she snaps and breaks down beyond a reasonable recovery and thus she is mentally defeated and will be an easy loss in a physical confrontation.

No way! Knowing Azula, she will find a way to channel her new-found insanity into an awsome display of "crazy blue firebending" the like of which we have never before seen. When the inevitable final showdown occurs between her and Zuko in the finale, Zuko had better watch out!

I don't think she has the mental maturity to do that. Iroh or Ozai could be not her. All of the emotional distress she is facing will take over and she will go insane. No adolescent has enough emotional stability to overcome emotional distress.

She might be able to channel it into a newfound abitlity, but I don't think she'll be able to control it fully. Hence she blows herself up.

Well if anyone has to go, I'd have it be her. (And Ozai, of course). I guess blowing yourself up is a good way to go. Dying in style.

I hope the final showdown between Aang and Ozai is at least as epic as this.

Nothing is as epic as the FG chicken fights. However the finale will still be good!

Exactly, I don't want a short 20 sec fight, I want a 5 min long blockbuster battle with lots of destruction and explosions.

I'm sure it will be amazing. I dont think Bryke would hype this battle for 3 seasons just to let us down.

They would spend about a year making these episodes and hype them since march and have them be terrible. They are dedicating 4 episodes or 2 hours for this battle so it WILL BE EPIC!!!

I don't know if any one else has mentioned this, but I'd like to see Katara do something more with her blood bending. Like outside the body blood bending.

You mean like if she ripped the blood out of someone? Cool.
