If we didn't have that law where would we be? George Orwell's 1984? Because that's what it feels like here. Seriously, BANNING SARCASM? That's ridiclous! Banning people from correcting spelling/grammar? COME ON! I wouldn't have to correct spelling if people just took the extra 0.0002 seconds to actually spell the word correctly. People can't go through life without basic knowledge of spelling and grammar, why should they be let off the hook here? And why is it bad if I politely correct their mistakes so they can learn for next time?

    These are dark times. As if we weren't getting enough grief from Nick and their retarded decisions on Avatar, we're getting the equivalent of a kick to the groin from our own mods, people who are there to make this place better, and not 1984.

    Someone quote this so it gets saved after the mods delete it.

    My rant was going to be like this, only it also included how this is a mirror for the rest of our country and political correctness getting out of hand and people sueing and getting their feelings too hurt over words... words people... and our freedom of expression being slowly but surely whittled away...

    People just get too, excuse the expression, butthurt over the silliest stuff. And political correctness is a big part of it; you can't correct someone's spelling and grammar because they might have some sort of "disorder". I understand someone getting a little upset about being corrected, but isn't that a way to learn? How do you learn if you go through life thinking that's the way things are supposed to be; especially if the people who are trying to help get punished for doing so.

    You have to draw the line between criticizing and being downright annoying. And the mods don't seem to know how to do that. SgtHydra was sarcastic, yes, but he did it to not only joke around, but also keep said annoying people in line. But the n00bs took immediate offense to that got upset about it.

    I'm going to use a rather corny expression to explain the situation to the n00bs; If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

To all the homies and users that got banned since 2001, I Salute you: (As I looked back at the Bikini thread, these 3 had it coming: C1991, DumbTVnut, FMA105, and ReflectTheStorm, but they dared against it.) (Atu_1, SalfishFin, and carmellina: I'm still asking if anyone can PM the cybersex thing those 2 did!)

    oh yeah I came around 2007. It was KINDA different in then. We actually talked more about avatar than bashing Nick. Thats when I was exicited to come here.

    Atu_1, he was just 1 funny dude. I think that got him banned though.

    Same here. I've been here for about two-three months, just when people were realizing Avatar won't be on for a while. Luckily I did get to see the craziness that was slight pre-KCA and post. The Spongies freaking out was hilarious.
