Will Spongebob Outlast Rugrats?

Do you think that Spongebob will last more seasons than Rugrats?

Well I think Penguins! could be the next big Nick thing if they can make a show where the penguins are as funny as they were in the movie. Also, I'm a HUGE Madagascar fan, and I was disappointed to see they made a second movie, however hopefully Penguins! will be really good, and if SpongeBob stops, it'll become the next best thing.

I'm not sure I would care for that, due to the fact that I hate penguins

I love Penguins! They're my favourite animal. Plus, the penguins in Madagascar, and the short movie on the second disc of the special edition, were just hillarious. My mum loves them too, so if the writers of Penguins! make them the same, it may also appeal to adults.

I used to like penguins, but then with the public going crazy for them, I was getting annoyed. Penguins are over rated.

Anyway, it seems like SpongeBob SquarePants and The Simpsons are both shows that care more about money than pleasing their big fans. As long as they are putting out new episodes, they know that people will watch them.

i could see the madagascar penguins show becoming the next big thing if they remain true to the movie roots. i am looking forward to whenever they decide to release the tv series. does anyone know when it is coming out?

But when 2008 was coming up Nick showed this commercial about the stuff that was coming for this year, like: Fairly OddBaby, Pest fo the West, Mighty B, and Penguins! So maybe it'll air by the end of this year. And maybe with the time the show will become the next SpongeBob. I thought that about Making Fiends, but it's airing on Nicktoons Network, which is not nearly as popular as Nick.
The bottom line is: Nick will not get rid of SpongeBob that easily, we all know that it's Nick's #1 show, America's # 1 cartoon, and the only cartoon that makes it on the top 10 (or 20) Nielsen Ratings weekly. And if you compare the popularity rate of the Rugrats back then it's not as close as SpongeBob's today.

Ya know, it'll be just like Barnyard if Penguins! does come out in the tv series. The show might not be all that good in my opinion.

I doubt that Penguins! will be the new SpongeBob SquarePants. It may become the most popular Nicktoon once SpongeBob SquarePants leaves, since it won't have the competition, but I doubt it will ever reach the same level of popularity.

Well lots of people loved Barnyard, and hated the show of it.

I thought it looked terrible, whereas the film looked brilliant.

I agree. Why don't the Barnyard writers just make another movie?

I agree with you on that, but I am definitely excited to watch Penguins!
