Do you think that Spongebob will last more seasons than Rugrats?

Rugrats lasted 14 seasons. Do you think that Spongebob will last longer? Please give your vote and/or comments here. Thank you.

I hope not. It has been going downhill ever since Paul Tibbit took over.

Possibly, though I hope not. It's going on to its tenth anniversary, and is already going downhill a bit. Imagine what four more years will be like.

As much as I love this show I have to say this: not a chance.

I felt that like for the last four years of Rugrats the episodes sucked, but the show kept on going. The same could be said of Spongebob. I just hope that on it's 10th birthday they do something special like a marathon of viewer picked episodes and then a new tv movie with something really interesting happening like Sandy and Spongebob admitting their feelings for one another or something equally as shocking. With Rugrats they had the special where they showed what they will look like 10 years from that point and it spawned All Grown Up. That was the most watched episode EVER of the show. I hope the same would be said for Spongebob of it's 10th anniversary special.

Please this whole SpongeBob and Sandy relationship is getting old? Admit their feelings to each other? You act as if they have always been in love, even though it was meant so that there would be no romance between the two.

All I'm saying is that this is something that most people have been waiting for for a long time. Personally I don't think they have any romantic feelings for one another. It would be just giving the audience what they want. What most people wanted with Rugrats was to see how the babies would look when they grew up and that's what the special entailed. It's just a way to drum up more viewing for the show. I'm not saying it will ever happen. It's just something to think about.

heres what i have to say. even though spongebob has decreased in quality i still love this show. plus who else does spongebob have as animated competition. the fairly oddparents are good but not great. avatar and jimmy neutron are finished. everything else (the mighty b, back at the barnyard, tak and the power of juju) is bad. spongebob is the best animated show nick has to offer right now and unless there is a show that comes out in the next couple of years that is really good, i see spongebob outlasting rugrats

SpongeBob is considered as the most famous Nicktoon ever. Popularity and high ratings is pretty much all it takes for Nick to expand the series as much as they feel like. So I don't know about 14 seasons, but at least 4 more years could be a possibility, and I would love to see it happen, even though I doubt it sometimes seeing how the episodes have lost their quality. Just time will tell.

SpongeBob's popularity is pretty much through the roof, so I'm guessing that as long as people watch the show it will easily get to a 14th season.

I think Rugrats lasted for fourteen years, not 14 seasons!

I love both shoes. But if Spongebob does outlast Rugrats, the episodes will just keep getting worse and worse.

I don't think he meant "shoes". It seemed like a typo.

Spongebob lasting longer than rugrats. No, I don't see that happening. For one thing spongebob is going down hill faster than them sliding on the shells.
