A lot of kids these days know what gay means and have seen and/or heard about some gay relationships and references, some kids don't mind it at all. It's something you're used to hearing about these days. Some guys just end up loving other guys. Even if SpongeBob SquarePants is a kids show and not for adults, a few gay references and jokes should be harmless since adults watch the show too, and you know how much adult humor there was back in seasons 1-3. SpongeBob and Squidward just love to hide their true love and feelings inside of each other, Squidward just does a better job at hiding it. SpongeBob and Squidward forever! There's a first time for everything and that is a gay relationship or at least some gay love and romance in an animated comedy show, even one that is aimed at little kids. Sea sponges don't have to be Asexual in a cartoon show. |
