The "Spongebob Is Gay has been going on since season 2, it's not something someone in the internet once said, he acted gayish, some people took it the wrong way, he continued and even became for a short while a gay symbol (can't say if it's good or bad actually)

Yeah, the only way these rumors may actually stop if he gets a real girlfriend or something. I mean, ALL the main male characters on the show have had some sort of attraction to a female on the show (or something that looks like a female, on Squidward's case with Patricia, but still counts) all of them except SpongeBob. Sure we talk about Spandy, but has there ever been a direct confession of him confessing he likes her? No that I've seen, and this is kind of frustrating, why not give a girlfriend in an episode to the guy? He would be the perfect boyfriend

Also some people say Spongebob will hypnotize kids to become gay it doesn't work that way, it would work from probably their parents genes or think about being gay themselves...

Gay marriage exists. I live in Massachusetts, it's legal here, maybe it's legal in Bikini Bottom as well

^Yeah, that is true. That actually creeped me out a little bit..but yeah, I guess I didn't think that he might referring to gay marriage. (It's not legal in my state, so I don't think about it much.) He didn't seem to object to being the female when he and Patrick took care of a baby clam, so maybe that's a sign too. But I don't really see what the big deal is...I'm OK with gay marriage because I don't really see what's wrong with it, so if SpongeBob does turn out to be gay well, that's fine with me.

I would like it a whole lot better if SpongeBob just confesses already that he is in love with Sandy. I still don't think SpongeBob is gay I think him and Sandy are meant for each other, besides didn't JellyFishJammer post a picture showing SpongeBob in a tuxedo next to Sandy in a purple dress in one of these threads? I knew she did, and what episode is gonna have that scene? Overbooked was it? I also could have sworn I saw that episode on the list of the 10 new episodes for the big SpongeBob marathon...
I am just one of those people who just would like it if the main character of the show was straight and forms a relationship with a female character, and vice-versa. SpongeBob not ever having a girlfriend imo would just ruin the storyline! And also SpongeBob and Sandy had some good times together exchanging gifts in Valentine's Day.
I'm just trying to prove some points that when SpongeBob and Sandy hang out together, sometimes it looks like them trying to start and then have a relationship could work. I would love to see some romance with them and possibly some dating. Again, Mr. Krabs has Mrs. Puff, Plankton has Karen, and SpongeBob can have Sandy. Patrick and Squidward... well I don't know who could be a good fit for them exactly.

Spongebob doesn't need to be with Sandy, people will always say he's gay they don't watch the show, it's no big deal anyway, almost no one says that he's gay nowadays, so, odds are, big odds btw, he'll never end up with Sandy, Krabs dated Mrs. Puff once, that's it, never again was or will it be mentioned.

It's a kid's Y7 show, don't expect any romantic aspect in it
