You'll notice that in "Plankton's Army," one of the major Plankton episodes, SpongeBob rarely appears. He's in the scene at the bvery beginning and for a second at the very end. Thoughts??

It was a good episode, and one episode without SpongeBob really appearing was a nice idea.

He also doesn't appear much in Best Fer-Enemies.

Or on New Leaf, if you think about it, those three are Palnkton-Krabs episodes. But it was good on Plankton's army, ackward on Best Frenemies, and his bit on New Leaf was the only thing I liked on that episode.

I guess if Planktons going to be the main character in a episode its just going be him and Mr.Krabs.. that shows up a lot. Unless he's trying to steal the formula or something.

Spongebob doesn't have to be in every single episode. It's his show, but still, the writers need to give the other characters the spotlight for a change.

Well, I kinda expect SpongeBob to appear in every episode, even if it's only for a short time, since he is the main character after all.

Yes, but he was barely on at all in this one--five seconds at the beginning and five seconds at the end, basically.

Plankton's Army was a little...awkward without SpongeBob there. I like the episode, though. I just think that SpongeBob would have heard the commotion in the bathrooms and come out to help.

Spongebob was too engrossed in the toilet to know what was going on. Plus, he woulnd have only made things more difficult.

Yeah it felt like SpongeBob was pushed on us in Best Frenemies. Especially in the scene when Krabs and Plankton were breaking into the kelp shake store and SpongeBob was wondering what they were doing.

Well have you ever seen an episode without Spongebob? Even if it is for a short time?

Yeah I can't think of one, but it just felt unnecessary to have SpongeBob in that exact scene. They could have kept him in the other scenes in that episode, but the scene I was referring to just felt unnecessary.

Well they have to have Spongebob in every episode or else kids will be like, "Hey! Where's Spongebob? He wasn't in this one!"

That's true. They probably didn't need him at all in Plankton's Army, but put him in for a millisecond just for that reason.

SpongeBob as the fuzzy green algae monster in Best Frenemies was pretty funny.

I don't know why people say it was awkward without SpongeBob in those episodes. Many of you probably didn't even think about it when you first saw them.

I thought it was funny when SpongeBob appeared midway into Best Frenemies. He just popped out of nowhere in the middle of the night.
