The wedding was still cute, even though it was just play. And I do agree with Hillenberg in a way, SpongeBob being in a relationship would make things kind of awkward.

I liked Truth or Square, but a play? Come on. Their marriage should have been an event in the future, so that it wouldn't affect the show directly but we would know they do end up together.
