SpongeBob reads a book that every ten thousand years, a snail would cause a giant apocalypse, but SpongeBob then realizes that Gary has been acting strange, and it turns out that Gary has summoned an apocalypse that can destroy the ocean and the world! The talent scout from "Now Open For Business" returns and tells the guys that he wants them to hire an agent within his agency, Star Spotters Talent Agency. To their surprise though, their new agent is Scooter. Scooter tells the boys that he has already booked them at a battle of the bands show called Battle at the Beach where the first prize winner gets to open for Ned and the Needlefish's concert tour.

This will lead to episode 20 which is the tv movie properly named Battle at the Beach which will be in my next post

The guys compete at Battle at the Beach with five other bands. The boys tear up the first two rounds and make it to the finals where they meet their new band rivals Jonas & The Whale (guest voice appearance by the Jonas Brothers). It turns out to be a closer competition than neither bands expected. In the end though Jonas & The Whale wins the competition because of all the teenage girl fishes going crazy for them. However, Plankton & The Patty Stealers get to perform an encore because the rest of the audience doesn't agree with the judges choice of Jonas & The Whale winning.
