SpongeBob duh. I am not that big a fan of The Simpsons actually. Some episodes I saw before were pretty good I guess, but I sure do also love SpongeBob! I am just one of those people who is not a big fan of too many of the newer episodes, but mainly I think only in season 5 actually. Season 4 and season 6 do have at least some pretty good episodes.

While I do think that The Simpsons is a good series, you can only kick around an old show for so long. On the other hand, SpongeBob SquarePants still has some power left in it. However, we never know. Let's hope there's never a day where it's quality has dropped so much that we all begin wishing for them to cancel it.

Spongebob. I think ever since Homer replaced Bart as the most influential character in The Simpsons it's been so adult oriented in it's humor that it's lost it's charm. It used to be a realistic satire, and now it's Family Guy with a different animation style. Bart used to be cool... and whilst i still enjoy watching the show, Bart just isn't the same chap who in 2002 inspired me to learn how to ride a skateboard. (they show classic episodes weeknights on channel ten here in Australia and have been doing so ever since i first got to watch whatever i like on tv in 2001)

Spongebob is still fresh, and whilst some talk of a downturn in quality, i think it's ressurected itself in a similar way to The Simpsons, except the characters are more likeable. The Simpsons are too Family Guyish now for my liking. So Spongebob wins for me.
What do you mean by, "...in IT IS humor that it's lost IT IS charm"? (sorry to be a grammar nazi)

Anyway, The Simpsons is a really great show. It has brilliant writers and they always seem to know where to pull out ideas. I of course side with SpongeBob, because that will always be my personal favorite. Sure, of course the show's starting or has started to decline in quality, but any show would after 400 episodes. However, I'm surprised at how well the writers are pulling it off. I mean, the new episodes are not poorly-written, they're just not classics.

As for SpongeBob, I'll give the same amount of slack to its current writers. Season 6 is starting to turn into a comeback and I am looking forward to its future, since Nick probably won't cancel it for another 3 or 6 years. (at least its ratings are still booming phenominally)
