I don't think that Spongebob could extend to season 8, but I wish Chowder can extend to season 3.

It is possible. I just hope that Spongebob can make it to 10 years.

If they don't run out of ideas, sure, why not?

I think it should end with season seven. No offense, but I really do. After the movie, the series has been at least a step bellow what it originally was. If this keeps up, the creators will run out of ideas completely. They already signed up with a seventh season, but I think that's as far as it should go.

    I don't think S7 will start until late 2008 or early 2009.

sorry, but a recent online poll shows that 86% of people don't expect a season 8

besides, announcements are only limited based on these kinds of things

sorry to break it to you, but i don't think spongeys gonna get to a 8th season

I don't know. Nick just seems to keep renewing and renewing SpongeBob. As a very strict SpongeBob fan, even I don't think it should last that long. All the classic Season 1/2/3 episodes are going down Rock Bottom with Seasons 4/5/6. But if it ends, I hope they continue showing reruns for many generations to come.

I agree with all of that. In fact, I think seven seasons will be a stretch. They could have stuck with six and I would be okay.

It shouldn't happen. It seems obvious to me they're running out of ideas. The Movie should've ended it all in the first place because it was excellent, and I thought it was a good way to end the series.

After thinking about it again, it seems that they probably will make an eighth season. I know it would be a shame to most of us, but when you get down to it, with this show Nickelodeon knows that they have a show that everyone is going to watch. With it's rediculously high fan base the series will probably be extended further.

Yes, the movie should've been the finale. Every single episode up to that was excellent, but then...

That is exactly why I've been at least a little tired of what's been going on with TV Channels and/or Shows nowadays, and as result, to tell you the truth, is why I've had my Video game Console on the TV Screen for a few Weeks now so far!

Don't get me wrong, I do like the new episodes as a whole. But I really don't think they're as good as the first three seasons. At least they're better than the season four episodes. However the new ones show that this show is losing its steam, and might not even be able to go for a few extra years.
