I saw a commercial for the Season 4 vol. 1 DVD and it said that volume 2 was coming out in January. So,  this means Spongebob will finish it's 4th season before 2007.

What are the odds that they release it in volumes and then as a boxed set later?

12 episodes of Season 4 have aired so far. There are more episodes scheduled for the fall so if the last 8 episodes of Season 4 all air in the fall then we will most likely see Season 4, Volume 2 and Season 5 starting by January.

I dunno, I still think they should just wait till all episodes of Season 4 air before the release The Complete 4th Season. Besides if you combine the single dvd releases of Fear of a Krabby Patty, Where's Gary, Lost in Time, Karate Island, and Whale of a Birthday, you've got Season 4, Volume 1 right there.

Season 4 DVD has some good bonus features as well. A lot better than Season 3.

Does anyone know if the voice actor featurette is the same from the Season 1 DVD or is it a new one?

Its definitely going to be different. They wouldn't put the same featurette on two season boxset.

No they definitely wouldn't. It's a brand new interview in which the actors speak about there characters and Season 4 (not Season 1)

I think this is dumb. They should wait until they are done making all the Season 4 episodes then release the complete season on DVD instead of releasing Volumes.

Wow I said that exact same thing when I first reported that Season 4 Volume 1 was coming out and I completely agree. http://www.tv.com/spongebob-squarepants/show/3428/season-4-volume-1/topic/2520-249062/msgs.html
