In all honesty, if you guys actually had good arguments as to why Phineas and Ferb isn't good, then we might not be so worked up about this. But as your arguments pretty much consist of "it sucks", which isn't really a good reason at all....
    I can see that you are a HUGE Phineas and Ferb fan, because you've got that Perry avatar. Well I pretty much hate Disney Channel, which includes every show on Disney Channel. I'm more of the Nickelodeon and Cartoon Netowrk person.

    To Chentalsong and the Spongeheads (not at all being derogatory, i believe that's your chosen nickname), Phineas and Ferb and Spongebob share very little, and so, the only real comparison is cartoon to cartoon. Most cartoons differe in their respective characters, formulas etc... and seeing as each show in question differs so much from each other... It would be purely a matter of opinion rather than knowledge of a shows quality influencing ones decision in such a choice. IMO however Phineas and Ferb is better in quality as well as merely being my preferential pick. However putting my opinions aside, we all have a right to state our opinion, and whilst Needtogetalife may have said Spongebob was 'dumb' or something along those lines, he felt frustrated, as sometimes we all do. As a PAF fan and someone who hasn't seen Spongebob for years perhaps i'm not entirely impartial in this matter... but i just hope that no matter how devoted you are to your respective cartoon... you observe the rules of fairness and allow opposing fans to state their opinion if it isn't in a trolling fashion.

    Alright, I don't have much time, but I want to have my say in this.

    First of all, PaF may have a basic formula, just like every other show out there, but it does vary from episode to episode, and I can name at least 5 instances where they make fun of it within the show.

    Second of all, since this thread was obviously made for everyone to state their own opinion, I don't see why Roy was kicked out for stating his, just because you guys disagreed. Everyone has their opinion, and not everyone is gonna agree with you. Also, calling our editor a troll is defiantly asking for trouble

    Yeah, I've got the Perry avatar, but if you didn't notice, Roy's avatar was of Doofy falling into a toilet.

    Anyways, not liking PaF just because it's on Disney Channel is a mistake. Most of us on the PaF forums don't like many other Disney Channel shows either. Personally, PaF is the only Disney Channel show I watch, and almost all of us hate Hannah Montana and shows like that. Really, PaF isn't your typical Disney Channel show- it's unique in it's style, so choosing not to watch it just because it's on Disney Channel is a mistake.

    I never said that people couldn't say that they liked Phineas and Ferb. I'm stating my opinion. And my opinion is that I do not like Disney Channel or any show on it. Plain and simple. I don't mean to troll anyone.

    See the thing is, I never actually did say specifically that it was "dumb" or that anyone else who did like it was dumb, I just said that I found it to not be a good show in any of it's seasons, that's the difference between me and most other people who don't like a show, you aren't capable of stating opinion without attacking the person who made the comment, why, because you can't build up enough of a case against the show, so attacking the person is the only way to make your post look long and with enough opinion that you must have made a good and well thought out statement about the show and why you don't like it. To shorten this to one statement:

    You spongeheads really don't get what you've gotten yourselves into, do you?

    Now I bet this that because of that sentence, this post will be marked as a flame and be deleted, right? Because this is clearly saying that it's going to descend into a flame war, still incorrect, you guys might be flaming, we're still at the stage where we make actually intelligent comments.

    Ah... New forum.

    Look, they're both great. But, me, for one, find PaF is better. Sometimes, PaF is funnier, and others Spongebod is. I could understand, I mean, SB has been going on longer, but, still, it's all about opinion.

    We're not insisting on a flame war, actually. We were simply stating our honest opinions and pointing out that your attacks on our favorite show are not even well-formed. Were your arguments well formed, well, it would be different. Then there's the way our editor stated his honest opinion, and somebody got his post deleted, and called him a troll. Therein lies the main source of our annoyance. And now you've ticked off Roy... boy, do I feel bad for you... One thing you should note, is that us PaF fans are incredibly loyal to our show and to our friends. Just ask any of the silly people who felt the need to wander into the PaF forum and bash the show.

    Listen guys, it's obvious we all want to defend our favorite shows, but defending one doesn't means you need to bash the other. I honestly don't think Phineas and Ferb will reach the success SpongeBob already has, hold, I'm not saying the show is bad, I watch it once in a while, in fact, it's one of the fewest shows I watch on Disney Channel, but as a die-hard SpongeBob fan I don't like fans from other boards come here and trash our show, you can be very sure that it would be another point of view if you made this thread on the P&F forums. So let's leave in peace, and keep adoring the shows WE like.

    I agree. I like Phineas and Ferb, but I am SB fan also. I really don't want a flame war. I know I wouldn't like if you came to the PaF forums and bashed it.

    Look, I do not like Disney Channel. And that includes every show on it. That includes Phineas and Ferb, Cory in the House, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, and a bunch of other shows I don't have time to name. When I was little my mom wouldn't even LET me watch Disney Channel. So I had no intrest in it then, and I don't have any interest in it now. Case in point.

    i hate disney too, chentalsong, but is it that hard to believe that the devil could do a good act per se? disney used to have some good shows like pepper ann and the weekenders. in fact the argument that you didn't get to watch it as a kid makes no sense. if you don't get to watch something as a kid you don't hate it and it's fans, you rebel against your parents and intentionally get into it- DUH. like i didn't get to watch much tv as a kid so i watched heaps when i could. paf isn't like other disney shows and i understand we all have our opinions... i guess the point i'm trying to say is that whilst it's fine to hate every show on disney, even paf, it isn't a valid argument to say 'it sucks because it's from disney'.

    Okay, forget the part about me not watching Disney as a kid. Heh. I don't even watch it now! But whatever. I like Spongebob better. Forget this argument. There are other things to talk about anyway.

    So, you didn't watch it as a kid, you don't watch it now, so where was the part where you actually did watch it and somehow figured out that you don't like everything on it, let me ask, how many episodes of Phineas and Ferb have you watched, exactly? But of course, since every word you post is going to be that you don't like Disney with absolutely nothing to back the argument up, as well as you stating that you can be as childish as you want, which you definitely are, here's what you should do. Leave this thread for now, come back when you're done with your pre-pubescent phase and when you've done that, make an argument that doesn't hinge itself on a fallacy. But like you said, there's other things to talk about, like how you know a whole lot about what shows are on Disney at the moment, despite saying that you don't like it and anything on it, or how you still didn't answer the question that I asked, which was that if Phineas and Ferb aired on a different channel, would you still claim it to be uninteresting and unfunny?
