It was a great special, it was rushed though. The Sandy part where the people don't know who she was was really funny (oh yeah, you're the sponge's friend, or something like that).

rushed isn't the word for it. This episode was so boring and pretty unfunny. I thought that the writers were lazy.

The episode was great! The surfing the Big One was really awesome! I also have the DVD and when watched with Plankton's Sinister Commentary is hilarious!

I thought the episode was good.

But the awesome part is the last 5 minutes. Epic speech from JKL, Thunderstorms, Flying Dutchmen in Davy ones locker, Sacrafising, etc.

I've been wondering.... was that JD giving the narration when Twitch was trying to teach Spongebob and Patrick how to surf? Cause it sounded like JKL, but I wasn't sure...

Yeah it was JKL. This episode was kind of weird...didn't make me laugh too much. I didn't like how Sandy came along and Squid says, "Who are you?" Earth to Squiddy!! Sandy Cheeks!! This episode did feel very rushed to me and it should have been an hour long. Nuff said.

He said that cause Sandy hasn't been in many episodes, which is why the fish on the beach later asked who she was, if the writers used Sandy in more episodes, then those two lines of dialog wouldn't have been in there at all, I guess I was the only one who thought Squidward saying that was funny....

I think Squidward was just kidding when he asked Sandy who she was. I remember he did something like that to SpongeBob in one episode (can't remember which one).

Guys, I think they cutted out a part where the fishes said Sandy was a recurring character, i don't know, because I saw the episode on the official website from Sundance, and the fishes said Sandy was a recurriong character. This was good 10/10

I think people were probably sending them emails about how Sandy is barely in any episodes anymore, and they just wanted to tell them that we know she isn't.

Well maybe Squiddy said that because he pretty much hates all of them so he pretends not to know them. I guess that was kinda funny.

I thought this episode was one of the better specials that they've had in a while. It was much better than the last one (Whobob Whatpants). I did, however, think it was a bit rushed and that Johnny Depp should have had a larger role in the episode. My favorite part was with Davy Jones. I couldn't stop laughing. It was about time they made that joke. I love how he's the butt of most sucessful tv show jokes. I also loved the parts with Mr. Krabs and the Flying Dutchman. I give this episode a 9/10 but only because it was rushed like I said before. They probably would have had more success with the episode if they turned it into a one hour tv movie like "Atlantis Squarepantis" but better.

Atlantis Squarepantis was actually only 45 minutes long with an additional 15 minute behind the scenes thing.

It was only rushed because the guys at the studio had to cut out so many funny things, and they had to edit it down to 23 minutes.

Well, if they make another "TV movie", it should be at least an hour long (excluding commercials) and they should not make it even shorter by adding super-long Patchy segments to make it seem an hour long. You guys know what I'm talking about.

Can someone help patch some plotholes for me. First, JKL keeps saying "just keep breathing" did that come in to effect later in the episode because I didn't notice it. Also he said one will not return, they all returned, unless I missed something.
