I hope it really is renewed for a sixth seasojn. And as SpongeSabastian said, I'm very glad there'll be at least 10 years of SpongeBob. It'll be the best decade ever.

How 'bout the decade of classic The Simpsons? That was pretty good too.

Most shows order 13 episodes to start with and then they increase them. It will be like That's So Raven, when they said that Season 3 was the final season, but they made Season 4 the last season.

Well only 4 and a half more episodes until season 4 is over than the 20 episodes of Season 5 will run from 2007 to about late 2008/early 2009 Then Season 6 will start. So we still have 2 more years.

That's good news. At least we know SpongeBob will make it past 10 years.

I heard 7 years is concidered a "good run" and most tv shows don't make it past that. So WOO HOO!! Bring on teh sponge!!!

Most shows on Nick have cancellation announced by there 3rd year. Around 50-60 episodes usually if a show is not popular by then, Nick ends it. Like Angry Beavers, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, Catdog, As Told By Ginger, All Grown Up. Some shows make it to around 100 but achieve no where near the popularity of Spongebob. Like Hey Arnold and Wild Thornberrys. Nick has stayed with Spongebob from the beginning and they enjoy the success that they get from it.
