Greaat special! It isn't as mysterious as Nick says, but oh well, they tend to say things that aren't true (FOP - The Last Wish anyone??), but had great humour like the PLankton-popcron scene, Patrick yelling HELP COPS! through the windwo and the akward werewolf scene.

I had a feeling Nick would do that, so I didn't hype myself up for it. But I'm glad to know that it had great humor. Can't wait to see it!

I was REALLY impressed by this episode. It wasn't as a mystery at all (though what can you expect from Nick?) but it was hilarious and very suspensful. The only part I could've lived without was Mr. Krabs' key to his heart. That's really it.

i like the title "the great patty caper" far more than "Mystery with a twistery". that makes it sound as if the entire episode is a mystery, when really, the 'mystery' aspect was like 4 minutes, if that. so, it was a letdown. I pretty much expected what would happen when the commercial happened. I had 3 guesses, either Spongebob had the key but wasn't looking hard enough in his pockets, somehow he didn't have the key and krabs did, or that Patrick took it. so, it was predictable, especially if one of my guesses was right, because my guesses are usually wrong in mysteries.

it also had weird gags. what was with the werewolf? that was... absurd and not really funny. the "key to my heart" line from Krabs was weird, even weirder was him putting it to his chest and then getting the key to the vault. I'm not sure what to make of things like those. They're not particularly funny, I don't think, but they're not totally gross or random or bad.

plankton being surprised that krabs was there, i was too for a second, but really, that's not surprising. he should be used to krabs' being one step ahead. it's only been that way for so long in the show.

the ending was kind of funny, with old spongebob telling the story to his grandson. it was random but it was the good kind of random.

overall, kind of disappointing. it had some good gags, Patrick was pretty good in this episode, but the 'mystery' aspect was lame.

I do agree about the mystery thing and the werewolf thing, but honestly I wasn't expecting it to be a mystery because this wasn't the first time Nick has done something like this to us. And, yeah, they should've called it The Great Patty Caper.

"The Great Patty Caper" would have been too similar to "The Patty Caper."

Anyway- back to the episode- I thought it was pretty good- but I thought there was more they could have done with being stuck on a train. Still, I enjoyed the episode a lot. I voted 4/5.

I thought this episode was mostly pretty good, minus some gross gags. It definitely had some good adult humor, and the ending was great! So, it was a little disappointing in some areas, but I'd rate it on the higher end of the scale.

whilst those two titles are very similar (The Patty Caper, The Great Patty Caper), i still prefer "the great patty caper" as opposed to "mystery with a twistery"

Agreed. The second one is basically saying this is a mystery episode.

I thought this episode was pretty good. I knew the culprit would be Patrick. The thing I learned from mystery shows is that it's never the suspects who are the culprit. I also liked the ending where it ended up being a story SpongeBob was telling to his grandson.

BTW, did anyone see the commercial for a new SpongeBob episode? Was that supposed to be the Earworm one?

I haven't seen the commercial, but I saw on the episode guide where it's supposed to be airing next week, I think.

I think it's the Abrasive Side episode.

I looked it up on the episode guide again, and from what it says, the Abrasive Side and Earworm are to air together on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

It was kinda good. Though I don't know why Nickelodeon named it "Mystery with a twistery".

I don't know why they called it that either. That wasn't even the name of the episode. Undecided
