To be honest, while I do think it was gross, it only was wicked bad at the ending, after Patrick the failure doctor thought knocking the splinter down even further in his thumb and slathering it with garbage was gonna help him, it just made it worse! And that's when SB's thumb looked appalling with leaking puss everywhere. But it was just a small scene or two showing his thumb like that, everything was all better when Mr. Krabs pulled the splinter out. The ending was good except for maybe Squidward being hurt from the cash register. So yeah while I'm not a big fan of this episode, there were not that many gross scenes at all.

I love the gross sceans they are cool!!

The Splinter is probably one of my least favorite Spongebob episodes. But, you know what would have been funny? If during the scene with Dr. Patrick, there was a part where Patrick takes out a pair of giant wooden tweezers and a crowd of people suddenly appear chanting "Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!"
