A recent JellyfishJammer post got me thinking.
If you took away ALL the disgusting parts of The Splinter away and just had the diolouge and non-disgusting parts, what would your opinion be on the episode?

The episode would be better. But i dont see whats wrong with the disgusting parts, since almost all the new episodes have disgusting parts now.

No, then it would have absolutely no point at all. I'd prefer the disgusting parts be left in, even though this episode will still be terrible either ways.

I agree with SpongeSebastian actually, even without the disgusting parts, this episode would still have a ridiculous and pointless plot.
The puss and all that definitely made the episode even worse though however.
This episode basically 100% sucks no matter what, end of story. At least in my opinion.

It would be hilarious! You know, SpongeBob could still have the splinter, but the scenes that could be remade/removed are: 1. The way SB got the splinter, (I scratch my thumb everytime I see that) 2- Puss falling on Squid's eye 3- Patrick's scene. 4- Puss shower on Mr Krabs. Erm, yeah it would be too short

Did I tell you? I showed this episode to my mom, she didn't say anything about the grossness but she just felt bad for SpongeBob, she said "Aw, poor Bob, it makes me feel so bad for him, don't you think?" as I was cracking up remembering you guys

I haven't seen this episode except for the part where SB shows his splinter to Mr. Krabs. I was completely disgusted by that alone, without even seeing the episode. It would probably be pointless without the gross parts....but it's got to be pointless even with them. If I ever see that episode on again I'll watch it, but I know I won't like it. How did he get a splinter that terrible anyway? How hard is it to get a pair of tweezers and get it out?
