    this episode apparently really set the tone of spongebobs homosexuality. Do you think he's gay and did this episode inparticular do that

    Anyway.. Spongebob isn't gay as matter of fact Nick has made over a BILLION of hints that Spongebob likes sandy..

    Agreed Spongebob isn't at ALL gay Is there any episode were Patrick & Spongebob kiss? NO! SO PLEASE STOP SAYING HE GAY WHEN HE'S NOT GAY AT ALL!!!!! As much as hate saying these but the creater himself said: Spongebob is ASEXUAL!!!! Meaning he would be in capable of being attracted to either male or female..     Aww, that sucks. Just delete that message, so it doesn't seem like you said it.

    And I voted for the bottom option that he's not gay in the least. I agree with SpongeSebastian about him liking food more. He's practically always begging to go to work, but he's not begging to spend time with Patrick. He forced himself to go to work at the Krusty Krab in "Bummer Vacation", but even when he wanted to be with Patrick, he only did it so he could get back into work.

    But he does throw useless parties for her when she is gone unlike Plankton or Squidward, when they leave SpongeBob doesn't throw a party for them. He also doesn't let them help him save Bikini Bottom when they are in Medieval Times.

    When I saw that episode for the first time, gay never popped into my head. More of spongebob and patrick taking stereotypical ways of parents. But, it would be considered gay if...

    1a)They start kissing

    1b)They admit there gay or even coming close to "where going to get married"

    So in this case its none of the above. Plus the creator said he's asexual. The creator for crying out loud.
