the fact that the results were found to be statistically significant means that that there is at the very most a 5% chance of these results happening by random chance, as opposed to being a result of an actual quality of the population being studies. women do, in fact, have a tendency to find more masculine facial features more attractive during ovulation.
plenty of people this about stats the same way you do, saying they're not trustworthy because they and/or the people they know don't match the results, but personal experience is not a controlled experiment. just because you don't think you fit the results, doesn't mean the results aren't true. and frankly, it's downright narcissistic to think one's own personal experience somehow trumps a valid controlled experiment.
