sorry wise lad, but in the words of Avatar roku.... I'ts Over! and by that I mean for nick. I give sponge bob 2008 as its final year on top of the mountain. because frankly they are done, Its mindless and sooner or later something bigger than that gay sponge will emerge, but back to Avatar, its apperantly clear that nick hates Avatar and its fans, and have no respect for us. but say what the hey! the worse case would be that we all buy the dam dvd's to watch the episoes, and Nick can can hide it all they want and keep it under wraps, but the way i see it, it goes down like this they can stash all they want. Eventually somebody is going to leak it thorugh or its going to end up in the internet.

My dish guide says Avatar will air tomorrow at 8:30 but it doesn't say any episode name. Usually when they don't have name it's a mistake or it's replaced with something. But who knows??

Thing is, you guys all act as if the episodes can't come out on DVD (Sidenote: apparently the DVD will only cost $18 at retail which is pretty damn good) first but it's entirely possible since Nick has done it before with quite a few shows. In fact, Nick released the 2nd half of Spongebob's 4th or 5th season on DVD 6 months before the episodes actually ended up showing (definitely not the type of news you guys wanted to hear I'm betting...). But anyway, at this point, I'd expect that there will be no Avatar through April (although the April highlights don't mean anything since they actually just left out all of Viacom for this time) with an announcement on the show's return date along with an announcement that the episodes will air week after week through the finale at Avatar's appearance at NYCC since it is a pretty big event. It'll probably have a big trailer and I'd guess the date for the show's return will be mid-late May (around the time of Wise's original predictions for the date of the finale). This gives Nick a good month to hype up Avatar's return and put it back into a regular timeslot. Unfortunately, there are a few major problems with this idea. First is that the book is releasing and while it is only a kid's pop-up (or picture book) book, it clearly recaps the show's final battle. But if you really find out how the show's final battle occurs (and it will likely only be covering the battle's events) by reading an Avatar pop-up book meant for a 5 year old, I truly pity you. Next (and more importantly) is that Nick tends not to like to show new episodes of shows during the summer which was one of the reasons Season 3 didn't start until September last year rather than April or May like most people had assumed would happen. But the NYCC event seems very promising for an announcement on the date and since they will be using the event to hype up the finale, I highly doubt they'll wait until Fall 2008 to show the rest of the season. And that's my opinion on the current state of things. This is all for the US by the way, but if I had to bet, I'd guess they'll try to air the episodes on Nick US and YTV on similar schedules if it happens like this.
