Why is Avatar that muched hyped?

Is avatar really all the hype should be?

    Don't get me wrong; I like Avatar, too. But, I just wonder, if this hype is all what's cracked up to be? I know it's a good show, but, I keep seeing people that Avatar is the best show in the world! Nothing can top it! I know, there's other people who can dissagree, but I wonder...

    Is Avatar really worth the hype in TV.com?

    Absolutely There have been an infinite amount of boards on this subject, and each one is flooded with angry Avatards. I know you're simply curious, but please make it more clear. I'd feel bad if you were to start crying

    In my opinion, yes, in yours, maybe not, we all have different opinions, for some people, it's the BESTEST SHOW EVAR, for others it's awesome, for others it's decent, for others it's passable, for others it's quite bad, for others it's terrible and for some it's OMG DIS SHOW SUXORZ NATEUREUEUEUEO IS WAY BETTER! (let's face it has anyone met an Avatar hater who doesn't like Naruto?)

    Well, most of my friends that dislike Avatar won't give it a chance and have probably never heard of Naruto because they're so sucked into MTV.

    Well, to me, opinions don't matter. Just look at others eyes and see what will be the victor. Everyone really has opinions, and, for me, I never really got into Avatar. I guess that's the crazy speed train we call life is all about.

    I've thought about it, but one of the things that endeared me to this show was that it's homegrown. I mean honestly, can anyone think of another animated show created by us USAers in the last 10 years? Oh sure, it was heavily influenced by asian culture, but no one over there did Avatar first did they? Two great minds collaborated and built a dynamite show. The best thing I can suggest is flat out: Watch the show.

    It starts slow(to be real, the first couple episodes are kinda weak in comparison to the rest of the show), but it picks up a head of steam and you'll definetly be hooked by the season one finale, if you weren't before then already.

    The thing that attracted me was the illogical idea. I have been obsessed with bending the four elements ever since I can remember. I'm not even kidding; me and my sister would play on our trampoline and pretend to control air/earth/fire/water. Then, when I saw the commercial for Avatar, it was like someone took my dreams and made it into something close to a reality. That's what really drew me in
