Why doesn't Katara heal Toph's blindness?(Poll included)

So, why do you think Katara just doesn't heal Toph's blindness?

    Ok I don't know if anyone said this already, but Toph likes being blind. As long as she can "see" with her feet she's ok with it. Also waterbenders can't heal everything, and sight you never had defently no. Finaly; Who are you people, why are you asking me all these questions!?

    Because if Toph could see, then she couldn't Earthbend as well. And it would ruin her image.

    well you don't KNOW that. if she can see, it doesn't mean her sense of touch will suddenly die. but yes, it would ruin her image. and she'd be too invincible.

    my guess is Toph's optical nerve isn't conected to the brain, and you can't heal what's not there. If you're born without an arm it's not like waterbenders can give you an arm trough healing
