Show me a picture of a "trone" and I'll tell you

Sorry. Maybe when Iroh was younger, but now that he is older, Zuko should take the throne with Iroh as his highest advisor on his court, and possibly as an ambassador to other nations. Iroh is so good-natured and wise, that would probably be the best use for him at his age.

Or, Iroh could serve on the military again, but after Lu Ten died, I don't think he would go for that.

    Zuko deserves it.

Iroh is wise and would be a good leader.

    Zuko is young.

    This post is lacking logic!?!?!?!?!?!?!11?!!?!

    sure is
Sarcasm, maybe? For further reference, make sarcasm easy to tell in the internetz, peoples!!! P.S. Iroh, ftw. He's old, wise, and peace-loving. While Zuko would be okay, he's a teen! He needs to grow up a little before taking control of a major nation.
i couldnt tell that he/she was being sarastic because the post was really lacking logic

one post says zuko deserves it

the next post says iroh is wise and would be a good leaderO_o

Isn't it obvious?, Zuko is friggin 16! he can't rule a nation yet, Iroh, if not dead, will rule with Zuko as the second in line.
    /Thread.
well its not that simple cause Zuko is the rightful heir plus the fire nation already considers him a traitor . im not sayin i think zuko should rule im just sayin its not that simple
I'm surprised no one said anything about this but Zuko is not the rightful heir, Iroh is but Ozai usurped it from him, so if you're talking rightful then it would be Iroh.

Zuko is the rightful heir the rightful heir is the oldest Child/Son (FN hasn't specific if they favour Males or not) of the current Monarch, it doesn't matter if the current monarch was rightful or not.

There's plenty of older generals in the military, but they don't usually fight... not that Iroh couldn't hold his own in a fight, he's proven time and time again that he can.

BTW, those of you that are arguing about age, there have been emperors and kings in past ages who have taken on the throne at a much younger age than 16. That's why I said Iroh should be his top advisor. Zuko has the youth and vigor to rule a kingdom, but he needs the wisdom that he himself has not yet earned through life experience. If he's going to rule the Fire Nation, he needs Iroh at his side.

The Earth King started at a young age and look what happened there. I just don't think that Zuko is ready for the throne yet, he hasn't really shown enough qualities to be a nation's leader.

Well, turing to the side of good was the first and probably biggest and hardest step he had to take. But again, if he's going to rule he needs Iroh to help him. No question about that. But you know, even if Iroh was offered the throne (which he probably will be), I bet he wouldn't take it. He really doesn't seem all that interested, now that he has made his own peace with his life and his son's death (sort of). I am anxious to know exactly what happened to Iroh in the spirit world. I think that could have an impact on this discussion and his decisions.
