Who deserves the throne more?

    Ok, if Iroh doesn't want the throne, well, he wont be FL, afterall it's nothing like Iroh to live up his responsability or to seek the better of others or to try and bring peace

    Zuko has said a few times he wants to help the avatar restore balance, i wonder, besides teaching FireBending, is there something else he can do? [Sarcams]if there was just some sort of job that would make him have to help bring balance to the world, some way of him doing laws and stuff so that people from, i don't know, lets say the FireNation became aware that the war is over and that everyone is equal and stuff, and if he was just in the bloodline of the people who would get said job, but no, there's nothing like that.

    Guys, it's obvious that both Iroh and Zuko are willing to take the responsability of being the FireLord, and since Zuko is still too young, Iroh would be FL and then Zuko would be his heir.

    Unless they pull a Gaara of the Sand and give Zuko the responsability right away, but i doubt it.

    Ursa: our son, Zuko

    Ozai: look at his eyes and nose
    Ursa: what? he has your eyes and nose
    Ozai: no. He has father's eyes and nose.
    Ursa: so?
    Ozai: i have my mother's eyes and nose, my brother has my father's eyes and nose!
    Ursa: umm, whoopsies?
    Zuko: *at ursa* mamma *looks at Ozai* woosar *looks at Iroh who is entering the door* dadda!

    OR!

    I say Zuko deserves it more because if Iroh were to ascend the throne of the Fire Nation the bloodline would be lost because his son passed away in the war. And Zuko is the son of the current fire lord and is suppose inherit the throne.

    well its not that simple cause Zuko is the rightful heir plus the fire nation already considers him a traitor . im not sayin i think zuko should rule im just sayin its not that simple
    I'm surprised no one said anything about this but Zuko is not the rightful heir, Iroh is but Ozai usurped it from him, so if you're talking rightful then it would be Iroh.

    Most likely Iroh, as I said in this thread a while ago, he has more experience and he's a good leader and he can bring peace and harmony to the fire nation. Zuko is still very young and unexperienced, but I'm sure that he'll be the the next firelord after Iroh!

    Iroh I think. He's wiser and more patient and seems to know what he's doing. Zuko is getting wiser but is still a long way off. But after Iroh dies, Zuko should then become the next Firelord. See? Everything works out.

    Well, apart from the bit where people can live up to two hundred years in this universe.

    I think Zuko still has more to learn, so Iroh should get the throne. But also have Zuko as his "Close Adviser", so Zuko can see learn what it means to be FireLord, and how to giude his people. Then when he finally becomes Firelord he will be ready. Besides, Iroh we be an Awesome firelord! He would proably have Tea Teusday

    P.S. Iroh, ftw. He's old, wise, and peace-loving. While Zuko would be okay, he's a teen! He needs to grow up a little before taking control of a major nation.

    Iroh deserves the throne more. He's been through so much hardship (death, betrayal, imprisonment), not to mention he has experience and age on his side. Its not to say Zuko hasn't seen his equal share of hardship, but for the moment, he is still young. Iroh should become Firelord until Zuko is ready for the throne.

    So I think Iroh should take on the responsibilities of the nation, and Zuko should eventually inherit it being the rightful heir.

    i think that zuko will become firelord and iroh might either die, or just help. although i can imagine iroh returning to ba sing se to his tea shop
