You may say that but it still does not refute that Azula achieved greatness. She orchestrated the coup that overthrew the Earth Kingdom, and she slew the Avatar...those two accomplishments alone display how great she was.

Hard for me to chose, I did chose Katara but it was basically a tie between Zuko and Azula with Katara. Aang is ok, and so is sokka

okay you guys who are getting mad about my comment about azula. I WAS JOKING!!! i even said that at the end of my post! chillax guys....also, i think azula is a great fighter, its just that she was "slipping" and it was her curtain call and every evil person has their curatain call...even the good guys!!!....so what im trying to say is that azula is a great strategizer and has an evil genius mind...shes just evil, and i dont like evil things, cuz im a good person, so ya.

But Aang is still alive isn't he? Yes she overthrew the Earth Kingdom but didn't Bumi get it back?

Yes greatness is based on opinion. What you think greatness is and what another person thinks of greatness may differ alot.

Wrong. It's a fact that she conquered Ba Sing Sei quickly and efficiently. It's a fact that she held off the entire gAang without bending. It's a fact that she was born a prodigy. You may interpret her greatness as being good or bad, but it is still great. Greatness is a fact.

    Ehem *clears throat*

    1. Azula was NOT in charge of the fate of Ba Sing Sei. It was simply her job to conquer it. That's like saying a policeman found a criminal and took him into jail, but a week later the criminal busted out. How is that the policeman's fault? It's not his job to watch over the criminal. He simply patrols the streets at night. Azula should not be held responsible for the reconquering of Ba Sing Sei. Why anyone would think she SHOULD be, I have no idea.

    2. SHE KILLED AANG. Aang was DEAD. She successfully killed the Avatar. Waterbenders may have healing powers, but that doesn't make them all-mighty. In case you forgot, Katara needed special healing water from the spirit oasis to heal Aang. How was Azula supposed to know she had that? Should she check to see if Aang was an imposter and simply Sokka took the hit? Azula doesn't know EVERYTHING. Plus, she guessed that the Avatar was still alive. That's why she let Zuko off the hook so easily. Either Aang was dead or she got to pwn Zuko. She used that to her advantage.

How could you not? Those are amazing accomplishments. If you don't find that great, than you must have ridiculously high expectations. She killed the Avatar! That's insane. How could you not find that great?

She killed a 12 year old... Amazing.. But it didn't really achieve anything. Anyway this is kinda off topic but didn't Azula lose to Tai Lee? But ya I guess I do have pretty high expectations but I think that is because i'm used to Naruto and their class of genisus are insane.

A 12 year old Avatar while in the Avatar state, therefore having hundreds of generations of power to back him up. Yeah, that's pretty amazing. And she lost against Ty Lee because she wasn't expecting it AT ALL.

He was completely powered. He was rising and about to attack, and Azula took him off guard. That's incredible.

Attacking some1 off guard? Then Ty Lee is also incredible for attacking Azula while she was off guard.

She is. But Ty Lee's move wasn't premeditated. She just acting in the spur of the moment. Azula knew what she was going to do, which makes it even greater.

Azula planned the attack. Ty Lee lucked out. I think what Ty Lee did was incredible, but Azula's attack was much more incredible. As much as I hate to admit it, Azula is no match for Avatar Aang. Defeating Aang while in the Avatar state is a much bigger accomplishment than beating Azula.

Let's put it this way - if Azula does not meet the definition of greatness, then nobody else in the show does, except Aang, and possibly Iroh, for all that we know of him, mabye Ozai too, although that one's a stretch.
