What would you say to guns in avatar.

    I honestly can't see guns in this show. It would just seem totally out of place. With the setting and the times, it just wouldn't be logical. Even non-benders can master martial arts or sword fighting. I truly can't see Aang coming out and firing an AK-47 at Fire Lord Ozai. Plus, I thought Sokka and Zuko already had big guns?

    They got swords too, sharp ones, that thrust hard (sokka's).

    When I hear guns used in Avatar, I think of the guns they used in Princess Mononoke. Otherwise, it wouldn't work.

    Guns? please, benders have fire, water, earth and air, they can pwn guns with ease.

    What non-benders need are AK-47, Sniper Rifles, plasma granades, spartan lasers, rocket launchers, machine guns, Brute Shots, Scorpion tanks and maybe a Beam Sniper too.

    That's true. With guns like those (in Princess Mononoke) I could see it but it would sort of take away from the show, for me at least.

    Yeah Avatar abridged. Anyway lightning should technically be faster and more efficient then bullets. Also Toph could probably bend a tiny piece of metal fast enough to be a bullet on it's own. Why would anyone want to see people shooting each other and dieing in like 20 seconds rather than an action packed elemental battle.

    I'm not a gun fan so I'd say it'd ruin Avatar for me. The closest to a gun that should be on there, and of course is, is a bow and arrow. I highly doubt Nick would approve of such anyway.

    I personally prefer the sexiness of a sword.

    notice how very few times benders lose to someone who can't bend. i can count them on my hands. ty lee beating katara in tcod, ty lee beating the earth king army special ops in the drill, mai taking down guards in boiling rock, jet beating aang in his ep, yuyang archer defeat aang in less than 20 minutes. but lets face it its a benders world. besides that its a kids show which makes all nonbenders useless except for ty lee.

    im not talking kalasnikovs and 50 cals. but muskets like in colonial times. a volley of musket fire with maybe a few arrows, then out come the bayonets/swords/spears etc. it would be realistic, gunpowder was around for a long time
