It was mentioned as a "fun fact" in the online Escape from the Spirit World game on nick.com; it also mentions that she is the oldest Avatar ever. Although, I thought it said she lived to 250, but I could be mistaken. If you want to see the full animated adventure of Aang in the Spirit World from the online game, it can be found on the bonus disc included with the Season 2 Boxset. I wouldn't be surprised if you could find it on YouTube as well.

But, as another person said- the question isn't is Katara the real avatar now as many of you are saying it's impossible because of Aang. The question is this and I'll even put it in bold so there is no confusion:
WOULD KATARA BE THE NEXT IN LINE FOR THE AVATAR CYCLE?
There we go. Simple question. The more I watch Avatar the more I suspect she would've been next in line.
