Is it just me, or has the avatar forums gotten a little desperate in topics since the finally?

Edit: answer 4 should be"No way, the topics are still intresting, this topic and its creator should go in a ditch and die

I'm afriad you're going to have to be a little bit more specific. What kind of topics do you consider qualifying as "desperate"?

"Songs that go with Avatar" and other threads like it have been around for a VERY long time.

Let's be reasonable here. The show has been off the air for a few months now, the forums have died down as a result. A lot of the orignal members can't post because they are banned, and the ones that remain have nothing to say. This leaves making new topics to noobs and newer members. The big reason itself is because almost everything has been discussed already, that's why these odd threads aren't dropping to the second page, not to mention not enough older threads are being bumped.

Actually, these forums are still going quite strong. The thing is that almost all discussion and such has moved to the already pinned threads. People find those topics more appealing than most of the new ones.

I've been looking for good, older threads, but I never seem to find any. I can't believe we're at 34 on the top 100. Around the RPG release, December (casting releases?) and February things should pick up.

Sorry, Axrendale, but I'm going to have to disagree. We've dropped about 20 spots in the top 100 in the past two weeks.

I'm not denying that we've taken quite a battering. But we're not dead yet - there's still life in this place.

Personally, I think a big part of it has to do with school being back on. That's really shaken things up here.

I'm still holding out hope that the MMO will be able to give us a bit of a kick.

Maybe that is happening because the fall season is upon us and people are coming back to discuss their shows, or it may be the members have abandoned the boad...or a combination of both. Anyways, I am not dissatisfied with the state of the boards.

It has effected the other forums as much as it has effected us. I love these boards, but I can't deny their dying-fast. I'm also hopeful for the new MMO.

I think the forum is slowing down alot. There are some times that i sit at the computer and hit "refresh" constantly. Sometimes there is only 1 post a half hour. In my free time i've been reading every single page of stuff like the Off Topic Lounge (yes, every single post)(bored much?) and i'm starting to spend time in the refuge. Becuase here, tons of people have left and although there still are quite a few people still on, they have other things in their life like school and such. But as long as there is one other person on here to talk to, i know i won't be leaving

I know what you mean about the one post in an hour or about an overload. I might switch to the Refuge soon, too. This place has just become so dead. I don't want to, but if it gets to be 10 posts a day I might have to.

I tried switching to Refuge. Believe it or not this place is more active. I think It'd just cause there's no new news. Nothing to specualte on. The fanclubs got it exciting for a while but then that went to hel so...

'Strue. The Refuge is very inactive on the hxc Avatar boards. A lot of the off topic places are very active, though, but I'm not looking for that. But, recently, this place has been absurdly dead as well.
