No, I know what you mean, but I was kind of stretching the truth a bit there. The fact of the matter is is that the boards have gone down tremendously in quality. Even though those boards existed months ago, there were MUCH fewer of them and MANY more serious threads. The threads could sometimes get more serious than you'd think. There were a lot of interesting and insightful conversations that went on in those threads. Those are few and far between now.
I agree, but what I'm saying, is that there were a small amount of threads like mine (which I still don't see the problem with) that would have been around back then too. It's not like it was THAT bad... I thought it was a kind of interesting seeing those kind of things in "The Firebending Masters".

I agree that there were boards back then like that one. I also agree that it was interesting. But it wasn't really an Avatar discussion. It was more of a, "I got the idea from Avatar. What's your favourite color?" thing. There's nothing wrong with those threads, but just when they start to be the majority of the threads on the forum. I'm not mad that you posted it, I'm just sad that it's gotten to be this way. There are no more genuinely interesting topics anymore. Of course, yours was fun, but it wasn't a topic I'd check up on everyday.

I'm not dissing your thread. I'm just saying it can't measure up to some of the threads that appeared months ago. I enjoyed your thread because it was fun to talk to people about their opinions on such a personal level. BUT it wasn't an Avatar discussion and it wasn't serious, therefore making it less of a thread than some of the others ones I've read. Don't take this the wrong way, I honestly don't have time to heal a bruised ego. I'm just stating the truth and you know it, too. Your thread is not top notch and we're losing top notch threads at an alarming rate. There is nothing wrong with your thread and I'm happy you made it. I'm just pointing out that really good threads are much too rare these days.

Like, is Wood apart of Plant-Bending... It's the furst question that appeared in my head, and I'm rather hungry for answers at the moment...

I don't think I'd go as far to say that your thread was a good thread. It was a FUN thread, but it was not a good thread for the Avatar forums. It really had next to nothing to do with Avatar except that Avatar gave you the idea. It was a fun and silly thread and I enjoyed it, but that doesn't make it a good thread. I'm not meaning to sound mean, honestly, this is just what I think.

Well (At the risk of sounding stupborn), you are allowed an opinion and I respect it. In MY opinion however, it had alot of things to do with Avatar... It was inspired by the episode "The Firebending Masters" and it was basically based on ideas, but since I know for a fact that you do not agree with this, further discussion is utterly pointless. But please may you answer my question about what elemet wood is apart of?

No, it's not a part of water. It just happens to contain water. And look at the bolded part.

All right I think we need a new goal. Before the MMO comes out, every user who regularly visits this forum must do their best to create a meaningful thread. I view a prime example of a meaningful thread as something like my History thread (shameless self-congratulation), or Tomtitan's Analysis thread, both of which I intend to bring back tonight.

    Who's with me?

*Sighs out of pure frustration* I was talking about Plant-Bending in Avatar! I am generally talking about the bending of the four elements in Avatar, I am not at all off topic, I didn't even start a thread about it, I asked you a simple question... I am really not trying to start an argument here because everyone on here who knows me, knows I do like arguments at all, but this actually does have something to do with Avatar, and it seems to me that you are just being difficult . I will re-phrase my question. Do you think Wood is part of the Water element in Avatar (PLANT-Bending)?

I will re-phrase my question. Do you think Wood is part of the Water element in Avatar (PLANT-Bending)?

Plantbending??? Anyway, the closest to that is the swampbenders, who are water, so I'm going to guess water...?
But I am asking, does wood count with Plantbending too?

So I suppose the next thread I was going to make won't be too good either...
Then our problem is solved. I do indeed, know that my thread wasn't top notch, but it was a good thread. Oh, and this is a really random question, but is Wood part of the Water element or not?

Plantbending??? Anyway, the closest to that is the swampbenders, who are water, so I'm going to guess water...?

But...there IS no plantbending! If there was...I guess so.

Okay, I'm going to start again. The Plantbenders (Or Swampbenders) in Avatar, can they control wood aswell as plants?

    No. Mostly vines.
