Your all over reacting. None of this information means anything to the Zutarians. Did they give up when there were Maizu makouts every episode? Did they give up when Zuko helped kill Aang? Did they give up when Katara threatened to kill Zuko? So why on earth would they give up now. The Zutarians aren't dead yet, they've ignored much larger truths.

Thanks, Spike815, this is as close as any of us will ever see to you sticking up for Zutarians!

Just putting in my $0.02 on this: most Zutarians don't like Zutara because they think it is going to happen. They just prefer it to Kataang and Maiko. It's just a preference, that's all. The other, smaller section of Zutara is going to go on ignoring whatever happens and twist it to their own liking no matter what.

yes and no I like even more Maiko, but there is a chance Mai gets killed, they didn't break up

What about when Mai calls him the "Jerk who dumped him"?

Sometimes you've got to accept some of the truths in this world, and I've come to accept this one: ZUTARIANS ARE BLIND.

So let me get this straight, when there's an official trailer and we see Katara pull away from Aang's kiss with a look of shock and disgust, the cries are: "Wait for the actual episode!", "It's being taken out of context!", "He may have just told her that he won't go into the AS because of her!", ect.

However, when we read some guy's summary (a summary where he says that Zuko locked Mai in cell, Mai says that he dumped her, and HE SAVES HER BROTHER AND DAD) the cry is: "Zutara is dead!" and "Zutarians are blind".

What'd I tell you, Spacerac, there's massive hypocrisy on both sides.

    1. Mike and Bryan have said that she'll be with one of those two.

    2. Aunt Wu saw no love in his future.

    3. He has to forget about his attachment to her or he can't use the AS

    4. She pulled away from his kiss in shock and disgust in the OFFICIAL TRAILER.

Granted, if it weren't for #1, there wouldn't be anything concrete. However, #1 is there, therefore, she'll be with Zuko.

EDIT: Now, let me ask you this, what proof do you have that she won't be with Zuko? The "I'll end your destiny" argument doesn't work anymore since we've seen from the trailers that she forgives him. Where's your proof?

Honestly put the script on and prove to me that Maizu is dead. Cause I must've missed it from the little clips. ._.

    1. Correct.

    2. She mentions at the end of the episode that "his future can change, just as he changed the clouds."

    3. His attachment to Katara wasn't the problem; he was able to willingly enter the Avatar state, it was the lack of training in doing so is what ultimately got him killed. The Avatar and the Fire Lord shows that an Avatar can have a relationship with someone and also enter the avatar state, your point is moot.

    4. I'll agree she looked shocked, but there is no sign of her feeling disgusted from that scene. Usually when someone's in disgust, their eyes will squeeze close and their eyebrows will be slanted downward. None of those expressions are seen on her face.

Saying "since Mike and Bryan said she will end up with either Zuko or Aang, of course she's going to end up with Zuko" is like saying "Since I have a choice between an apple and a banana and I enjoy both equally, of course I'm going to eat the banana."

    1. Gives Kataang a chance. 2. Aunt Wu said "Just as you changed those clouds, you can also change your destiny." Or the like. Again, Kataang has a chance. 3. Roku also had to forget about his attachment, albeit a girl, or Sozin. *titters* Roku also married, and had a child who would have a girl, who would have Zuko. 4. In shock, again, but disgust? Where is the disgusto? Katara hasn't figured out her emotions of love. But they are definitly not for Zuko. Hugs are not kisses. If they were now, Kataang would be undisputed. But the hug only means that instead of the axe murderer hanging at his shoulder to see his every move, he have a motherly type being over his shoulder, nagging his every move. I think he'd prefer the axe murderer. I would..*shudders*

    2. A. You do realise that she most likely just said what he wanted to hear, again. This makes sense because of part B.

    B. She was clearly no longer shocked from the bones exploding. So why not think to give him another bone reading? If it's because the bones would explode too quickly again, give him a palm reading. Even though she said that bones were the best way, the palm reading still works, otherwise she wouldn't have used it on Katara.

    3. What are you talking about? He tried to let her go in Ba Sing Se and got shot in the back by a sneak-lightening attack while doing so. That's not lack of training, that's getting hit blind-sighted. Plus, since he got as far as he did when he was talking to the guru, he would have known that he could get that far without actually letting her go. The point remains that he cannot go into the AS without letting go of Katara.

    About Roku:

    A. Attachment doesn't always = love.

    B. We don't know what he gave up. Until Roku or a very reliable other source says otherwise, that argument is meaningless.

    4. Ok, we agreed on shocked. Maybe disgust was too strong of a word, but she did pull back the instant he started kissing her. That completely deviates from the "being kissed by someone you like" pattern that exists in the AtLA universe. Even when Sokka was kissed by Yue the first time and was "confused," he stayed with the kiss.

Either way, she did have the look of a girl whose butt had just been randomly grabbed on a subway.

IF YOU DON'T THINK IT'LL HAPPEN, BITE ME.
    ***SPOILER***
i think that's a really good theory, we'll just have to wait and see if it happens

    B. You don't know for sure if the bone reading gives a love expectancy reading. She was too shocked at what she foresaw and then asked about love, she said what he wanted to hear. Katara received a palm reading to see her love life, so maybe all Aang had to do was ask for one.

    3. No, it's a fact that he DID let her go in CoD. OTHERWISE, he wouldn't have been able to enter the avatar state at all. Glowing eyes = avatar state regardless. Roku explains to him in The Avatar State, I think, that it takes years to master it, to the point that the time of vulnerability is shortened to just a flash of the eyes indicating the states activation. This was the first time EVER Aang had entered the state on purpose. Azula might have known that when the avatar is entering the state, he is most vulnerable, or just that she saw and opening (ie. Aang floating in the air showing no reaction) and took advantage of it.

    A. That may be so, but it still doesn't prove that Aang can't be with Katara. Just basing everything on what Aunt Wu says is ridiculous. I'm sure Bryke want kids to think Fortunetellers are ALWAYS right in what they say....

    4. We don't know how long they were kissing until she pulled back. The scene starts with Aang already kissing her, not him advancing and actually delivering the kiss. There might be a few seconds before Katara's reaction occurs. Yeah, go ahead and mention how "in AtLA, when someone is kissed, they at least stay in it until it's finished" but then you forget in 310 when that scenerio happens with Katara and Aang. There is NO reason why she would react so differently from that kiss to the new one if her reaction was based on her feelings for Aang. That would show that Katara is dellusional and pretty dumb to accept a kiss from Aang one day then reject one the next, EVEN UNDER A BEAUTIFUL SCENERY MIND YOU!

You say Zutara needs Faith and Paitence. Kaatang just need the freakin PROOF!! (not fanfics and fanpics and manips) There.

    1. Correct.

Until Roku or a very reliable other source says otherwise, that argument is meaningless.

just a question, did aunt wu say something like: "no love in your life"? because if she did... well, aang technically died in cod so now he has a new life (that has love)

Good point, but I don't think the words were said in that manner. I think it was along the lines of Aang asking "So, you didn't actually see love in my future, did you? You just said what I wanted to hear." and Aunt Wu responded, "Just as you changed the clouds, you can change your destiny." I would go look up the actually script, but I'm trying to balance forum posting with research paper typing and I'm getting pretty tired from pulling an all nighter, making sure people got links to the BR episodes.
