pst... Guys... I dunno if it's been said, and theres no way I plan to check if it has...

But in the trailer kiss... It looks like katara is looking at something else. Like, it's kinda hard to tell... But her eyes aren't looking directly at aang... Maybe she was frightened of something else? Who knows! Not me for sure. Maybe aang is just a bad kisser.

saccharine wrath and i have been talking and here's what we think is going down: DISCLAIMER: THE FOLLOWING IS PURE SPECULATION.

aang kisses katara at the end of the ember island players. she backs away from the kiss, but doesn't flat-out reject or accept him, instead changing the subject with something along the lines of "we've got more important things to focus on." we all argue about what was going on in her head kataangers saying "she's obviously in love wit him and you zutarians are stupid to think otherwise" and zutarians saying "she totally shot him down and you kataangers are deluding yourselves if you thing otherwise"

the southern raiders: zuko and katara get ninja'd upand go on a mission. according to saccharine wrath, there's a god chance they'll find the one responsible for the death of katara's mother, and zuko will stop her from doing something she'll regret. they bond, and katara hugs zuko at the end of that episode. aang sees this and, couple that with not getting the reaction he'd been hoping for with the kiss, enter aang's dark side.

with zuko, mike and brian said he had to go really bad before turning good. it made his transition that much more complete. aang will have to do the same. obviously he won't go all villain on us, that would just be stupid, but aang's dark side will be jealousy. he'll think something's going down between zuko and katara and his jealousy will lead him to do something unexpected and bad. not to katara, but to zuko. i can't speculate as to what yet, but it could be something seemingly insignificant. like zuko nearly falling off a cliff and aang hesitating for just a moment before helping him. this will show that's when aang will start to realize something's wrong.

at some point, probably during his firebending training aang will go wild. he'll bend out of anger and i think he'll either come close to killing/seriously injuring zuko, or better yet, come close to hurting katara. when she and aang make eye contact he'll see fear in her eyes and that's when things will click in and he'll realize something has gone terribly wrong. from there it's just a hop, skip and a jump to the fall of kataang and zutara's victory.

once again: THIS IS ALL SPECULATION. IF YOU DON'T THINK IT'LL HAPPEN, BITE ME.
