    I don't understand why people put down Aang because he is "Biologically" 12 years old right now

    Marriage would not be now when he is 12, Aang at 20 and katara at 22 would be good

    did you know that when David Arquete was 12, his current wife Courtney Cox, was 19?

    plus 12 in a world where a bunch of kids who are 16 and younger can travel without any adult with them and no authorities questioning them(the headband doesn't count, Aang was "taken to school" only because he was wearing the school uniform, not because he was a kid)is different than the world we live, where police would question any kid(15 or less) they see walking in the street without any adult during school hours

    come on do you really believe that katara would be the future fire lady? it really doesnt make sense or suit her at all. plus you know their only main obstacle is she absolutely resents him and zuko has not shown any feelings towards katara. but apart from that there is aangs undying love for katara the fact that they've been around each other for so long and developed a very close bond. also why would zuko betray mai to go out with katara when its clearly shown in the show that zuko and mai are in love and she would be the perfect example of a fire lady.

    I don't personally have a problem with Maizu - actually, I do like it alright. I just don't think it will happen. Afterall, most of its development (the part where they actually got together) was off-screen. And I just don't think it will end up canon in the end if so much happened off-screen.

    And before you jump down my throat and be all 'you just hate maiko', if Zutara happened (as in, they started going out) in a magazine, I'd still hate it too. Canon or not, what happened in that magazine was off-screen, and thus I just can't see Maiko happening in the end. If it was supposed to be the ending couple, their entire relationship (or at the least, the part where they started going out) would have happened on screen. And don't say "it happened off-screen because maiko isn't the main relationship and thus they didn't have time to develop it on-screen". Zuko is a main character. His relationships (with his uncle, his dad, the avatar) are all important. If Maiko was meant to happen, Bryke would have developed it on-screen. But they didn't. They put it in a magazine, which to me shows it not happening (in the end. Obviously it has happened).

    So there's my problem with Maiko - I don't think it will happen in the end (even if zutara doesn't happen, I just can't see maiko happening).

    I can't see Maiko happening at all, first. Second, Katara is so much better to understand Zuko, they are made to be together.

    Did I ever mention how my dad is 42 and my mom is 44? I repeat..There is nothing wrong whatsoever with a two years age difference...I don't see a problem with it. Yes, if it was like a 10 year age difference, I could understand, but it's not. I am 14, and in my opinion I would date a 12 year old if he loved me as much as Aang loves Katara, but that's completly bias. Just the same if mike and Bryan wanted a 10 year old and a 20 year old to date in the show...I wouldn't approve, but it's their choice. Just because you Zutaraians don't approve the age difference doesn't mean you can hold it in the air, and say you have proof. You have opinions, like everyone, but that doesn't mean you have the advantage.

    My sister's dating a guy who is nine years older than her. She's 23 and he's 32. And even if the arguement is about the girl being older, 9 years is still a lot. It just shows that age doesn't matter. My mom's two years older than my stepfather, too.

    Glad I could help. Of course, I can't assume all zutarians think that way, but I know I at least do, lol.

    As for the age difference thing, age should only matter to the people in the relationship (except for that 55 and 6 one.....nice example ALK, lol) - if it doesnt' bother them, and they are both in love with each other, it shouldn't matter. But for Aang and Katara.....I think the age difference would be an issue at the ages they are. Sure, give it 3 or 4 years and it would be ok, but with Aang being 12, and still pretty immature (sure, he's grown up a bit, but he's still pretty much just a kid), it just wouldn't work out right now, particularly as Katara generally acts a lot older and more mature than her 14 years. Sure, its only a 2 year age difference, but its their maturity levels that are the real issues - Aang is still just as kid, and until he matures a lot more, I just can't see him and Katara working out. She's not 'too old' for him, she's 'too mature' or whatever for him at the moment (and yes, sometimes she acts childish, but generally she does act more mature than the others, thus the reason for my argument).
