    Well, I don't want them as friends... I need them to be friends. This is the last stretch (that's the expression, right?) and a weak link can break the chain (american's say this, don't they?). Chain breaking was ok in all the previous fights but if a weak link happens now we're screwed because there's no do-over. Hate is Major weak link and as such it must be fixed before the gaang can face it's destiny.

    Exactly... I want trust to happen between Zuko and Katara. They have enough in common where they ca really connect as friends easily. But it doesn't necessarily have to end in a relationship.

    Still... I will miss b1tchy Katara. I have a soft spot for that type of female. I came back to avatar because after like a year I happened to catch The chase and loved Toph and Azula. Funny how back then most people believed Toph was an annoying brat...

    Yes, Katara has had her fun moments. Such as The Waterbending Scroll or The Awakening.

    My theory if Aang dies (noes!): Aang walks away from the battlefield (where ever that is) and collapses. Katara catches him and finally confesses her feelings (way to wait until the last minute). They kiss. Aang dies in her arms. Everyone cries.

    Of course, if Zutara happened, then Zuko is at risk.

    yeah, i could picture that as an ending.

    but i just want to put my two cents in.

    i think that although zutara is better, kataang is definetly going to be what it turns out to be. Katara and aang have much more of a history than Zuko and katara. Even in the Cave of two lovers waaay back in book two, there was a spark. Also, wasn't there commentary by the creators of avatar in the scene during DOBS where they say theyd rather have kataang happen?

    i'd much rather have zutara, but logically, it looks like kataang is going to happen. I'd rather have zutara because its not cliche, nor is it logical. Its like almost every movie or series I see, the first girl the main character meets, is the girl he ends up with. Cliche.

    Note: all of this is coming from a guy who used to be neutral but got swayed very very slightly to zutara after all of the cliche. (all of kataangs kisses and crap like that.)

    all these crack gay ships are giving me a headache. And have you seen part 3 of Chao's thing.. that pretty much sealed the deal for Kaatang happening and zutara...not.
