Lmao. I noticed that. It was hilarious. I'm one of the few people who don't oppose the Great Divide, but I couldn't help but laugh. Small things like that made the episode =D I loved Toph's reaction, and how Sokka was always so excited when he was on stage.

No bending at all in there no action it was just a boring play

a bit funny yea but still boring

Oh come on. Is that all you watch Avatar for? Action? Yeah, action's a nice addition, but it's not what really makes the show. Even if they did trash the place, it'd just be The Beach over again. The point of the episode was to be funny, to get Aang and Zuko ticked off, and to get shipping kick-started again before Katara's "decision"(Not that TSR didn't help a little). Besides, many of the best episodes barely had action in them either.

I agree. If you only watch the series for action, then you aren't getting the full potential of this show.

Besides we will likely get a ton of action in the end...personally a rollercoaster isn't that fun if it's all loops there has to be the anticipation in order for the plunge to be great!

That was THE FUNNIEST EPISODE EVER. I think they got everyone right, but the one thing I'm wondering is, how did the play writer find out about everyone? He (or his sources) couldn't have seen everything that ever happened. The best line: Fake Aang-Look!The Great Divide, the largest canyon in the earth kingdom. (Pause) Fake Sokka-Let's keep flying.

This episode was so funny I almost choaked I was laughing so hard. Yes, I am being serious.

I don't think it's being out of character, per say. I just think it's a side of her we've never seen. A side of her I don't like *grumbles*.

Yeah, I guess that's it. But I like the nice, supportive, keep the group together style Katara we saw when Appa was stolen. But I guess the threat of imminent battle with the most powerful nation on the planet might bring out a darker side of her. I just hope we see some of the more redeeming qualities of Katara in the finale.
Why did she push Aang away?!?!? I wanna know! I didn't se the eppy!!!

Amen to that. I don't really like this new side of Katara. We've got enough pent-up anger from Zuko. We don't need another source. And, on the off chance they end up together, it will be insanely depressing to have two angry, resentful freaks combine their emotions to form one huge tidal wave of anger.

    What happened?

    SPOILER:

Pretty much, the players on stage made it seem like Katara was into Zuko. Please note that there was NO blushing on either Katara or Zuko's part. They looked at each other like o.0 and MOVED AWAY FROM ONE ANOTHER. and when play Zuko asked if Katara was the Avatar's girl, she said they were just friends. Upset, Aang leaves. Later, when Katara goes to see about him, he asked if the play was right and ask why they aren't together after the kiss they had. Katara didn't say she saw him as a little brother: THE PLAY DID. However, she does admit that she doesn't know how she feels. He kisses her and she DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY BACK AWAY, however she does get upset because she'd just told Aang she needed to think about it. She leaves, Aang feels bad.

Then, apparently when Aang is suppose to be facing the firelord (in the play) they once again make reference to them being friends. Aang looks visiably upset but SO DOES KATARA.

This episode really left everything up in the air and you can interpret everything for each ship either way. For instance, supposedly what you see on Ember Island and what was on stage was suppose to be correct intrepretations. I can see a Zutara fan trying to jump all over this however, that must mean their ship is doomed to never sail because ZUKO DIES. And to honestly say the intepretations of the characters were correct would be stupid, to say the least. Maybe a tad bit on spot, but way off all the same. Also, no matter how much a Zutara fan would have wanted it, that's NOT the way things happened in the cave, period. (Or Katara is a serious, erm...yeah...)

You could take the way Katara and Zuko moved from one another like a hint that they either don't like each other and don't want anyone to get the wrong idea...or that they do and they're just trying to hide it. Of course, considering Katara has visiably blushed when it came to Jet and Aang, two people we arguably know she likes/liked, I find it odd that neither blushed but simply looked liked WTF?! and moved away from one another.

Katara never said whether she liked Aang or not and she certainly didn't say she liked him only as a brother. She outright said she didn't know how she felt and that it was the wrong time to get together, what with a war going on. I think she's personally considering it, but there are just more important things to worry about and she needs to be clear on her feelings.

I doubt seriously Kataang is dead by a LONG shot. And considering the way Zuko lit up when he talked about Mai in TBR and that entire episode as a whole, I seriously doubt Zutara is any closer to happening. If anything, it reinforced that he did still care for Mai, enough not to put her jeapordy but more importantly, that she still clearly cared for him.

She pushed Aang away because she was "confused". He was asking her about how she felt and when she told him she was confused he went in for the kiss anyway. Then she pushed him away and was like "WTF?! z0mgZ I just said I'm confused, lyk TOTALLY!" and she left.

I think it's supposed to be comic relief. I wish they wouldn't have, it's a waste of precious ATLA time. But, whatever. It was funny all the same.

I label thee 'FUNNIEST EPISODE OF THE SHOW'.
I loved the part where Aang was a woman, Katara being a crybaby, Aang and the Blue Spirit, the Great Divide part and the Sokka part.

I do think they did that on purpose. It was funny as heck, but it also gave an ominous warning to the gAang about the coming days (episodes). I think it worked in just perfectly.
