This is a show about an AIRbender. It would be logical to have a fourth season which would be Air.

It should be about Aang's childhood and when he learned air bending and the start of the war.

I think it should just be a continuation of the previous 3 seasons.

I think it would be neat if it was about the next avatar and it be like sokka's or katara's grandchild or sum.

Well, I still stand behind my opinion, that the show shouldn't continue past 3 seasons. I have got into this show so much, that it's practically the only show I watch. I can definetly understand where you guys are coming from, but my mind still remains unchanged. To me Avatar is like an epic story of stuggle, power, love?, and betrayal. But like all good epics then must all end.

It's really hard for me to explain, but maybe I was just so used to watching so much c r @ p that came from hollywood, (And this is a strong statment, because I usually don't swear) that when I finally found a show that exceed my expectations, then I wouldn't miss it for the world. It's hard to expalin but I don not want the show extended, I want it to end with the original epic story that aoriginally came with it. Mike n Bryan are indeed great writers/creators, and I'm estatic that they decided to make his show, but (I can't believe Im about to say this) they are NOT gods. They are probably the best storytellers I know, but I just don't think they can create another great season of avatar.....Then again I'm a tough audience.

I probably stand alone in my decision, but I will defend it till the end.

Who's to say the 4th season wouldn't be epic. Suppose it had a civil war in the Fire Nation after Ozai was defeated, Azula wants the throne but someone more despicable enters the picture. That would be awesome. There are any number of directions they could take the show and still make it have the original, epic feel to it. Before making a judgment, good or bad, you should AT LEAST listen to what they have planned for the season first (which we don't know, yet). Otherwise you're flat out ignorant, sorry to say.

I agree. Rather than flat out rejecting the idea of a 4th season, why not come up with ideas of your own? It's my understanding that at least one of the creators read the forums. And who knows, one of us may come up with the inspiration for a whole new, GOOD, 3 season story arc. I, for example, have been pushing the possibility of a 'Dark Avatar' for many months now. And despite negative feedback from some, I keep retooling it based on replies to come up with something better.

I think you guys must have misunderstood me. Even if they come up with 10 new seasons, I would still watch all episodes, just based on my deep devotion to the show. Heck I would still watch it if Aang somehow turns into a yellow sponge and lives in a pineapple under the sea! And I would watch it just because it has the Avatar name. BUT I would watch it with deep reluctance, and I would set my standards EVEN higher for the new seasons, than what I have right now. (And right now the show keeps on blowing me away with every epiosde, that my standards are pretty much peaked)

So, in conclusion the 4th season would have to be really, REALLY good for me to accept it. And this, sadly, I don't think the creators can achieve. But like I said before, I'm a tough audience.

I've had a season 4 idea for a while now (its kind of like Pooldude's, I think)

Aang and friends kill Ozai. Yay. Azula is still alive and kicking and isn't about to let all her waiting and hard work be blown up. Becuase people still fear her, she rallies up the FN for one last battle agianst the avatar and aang and friends have an amazing fight were there is crazy bending, and Azula dies, maybe another main character will die or get seriously injured and the war is finally over. It will be a long road to peace, but th FN has been stopped. And technically aang was only given instruction by Roku to defeat the FIRE LORD, it said nothing about Azula. So, I dunno, a civil war might be cool too.

Well I think that if they made a season 4, it shouldnt really base off of season 3. Actually, I have some mixed feelings about an additional season.

I love the show and I think it would be absolutely terrific, but the standards for me would be higher than anything they have ever done in the season before. BEcause each season, you have to outdo the last one. Thats how it is. I think it would be really hard to extend the show another 20 shows. I mean, what would happen in season 3? Maybe He will destroy Ozai and all them, but then Azula comes into power at the end of season 3 and starts it all back over again? But there, in season 4, it would be a repeat of season 3. I dont know thats just a WHAT IF statement.

On the other side, I think they could make an additional season, but not necessarily based off of season 3. Maybe they accomplish all their goals in season 3 and season 4, shows them before it all happened. How their life was before. Or maybe even like 10 years after or something. Maybe some people got married and had kids, maybe others died. What they looked like and how the world ended up being. Maybe they could have kids and start a WHOLE NEW AVATAR thingy. I dont know that is just what I think. Two oppinions straight from me. I dont really think they will make another season, but I really like the idea of a BEFORE AND AFTER season. Dont you?

My sister (and details by me) just brainstormed the awsomenest season 4 plot line! I love it! Please respond to it!

The Aang gang has crushed the Fire Lord and the FN is now under control. Everything is going pretty smoothly, until Aang decides that he wants to become extremely powerful so as to make sure nothing like this ever happens again, and if it does, he can quickly get it under control. He may even return to the Guru to help along with the Avatar State. Katara, Sokka, and Toph start to get worried becuase Aang isn't acting at all like himself and is becoming obbsesive over becoming powerful. He triggers something in his Avatar State and he is starting to wipe everything out, like in "The Avatar State". It may even affect the world, and everyone is like "OMG what's going on?" Katara tries to calm him down again like in "The Desert" but it doesn't work. Enter, the Spirit World. The past Avatar spirits see what is happening and (like avatar Roku did in "The Avatar State") they transport Aang into the Spirit World. He then learns what it truly means to be the Avatar and therefor completes his Avatar training. He may also learn of an Avatar traitor or something that went wrong with an Avatar, or more about Koh, since he is supposed to come back. Aang is sent back into the physical world and stops his major destruction Avatar State. Since he gets a little "Whoa what just happened?" and dizzy after the Avatar State, he could get super scik or something since he just had a crazy Avatar State phase. We could see just what a major affect his Avatar State had on the world, and yea. I don't really know what to do about Zuko, but I guess someone else could fill in the blank, maybe Iroh has something to do with the Spirit World when Aang goes back or something.

What do you think, I like it. Its not a "Dark Avatar" idea though. Mybe even throw in a little Kataang when Katara gets worried over Aang. Hmmmmm...I can see the last line of a trailor for it, "The Avatar has saved the world from the Fire Nation, but can he save??the world??from himself..."

Well, I'm really hoping for a fourth season myself. I'm sure DiMartino and Konietzko would be willing to go on with it, seeing that they've invested like a decade of their lives in it. I'm sure they're creative enough to come up with another great storyline. They've created a magical world, full of creatures, cultures and magic we barely know anything about, plus a spiritworld which so far has barely been explored yet. They've clearly got the material, so I've got enough confidence that they'll be able to create something good. And, since Avatar hasn't been able to disappoint me yet, I think I owe them that trust.
