???????? Well, I have allways wonderd about this. I think??there will be a season 4??Because why would a show so sucessfull just stop. Saddly I have no??inside information on this.??what do you guys think? ??

I hope not, since the show was originally created for 3 seasons, I think it should end with 3 seasons. An extra season would probably be ladded with many fillers, and would possibily wreck the name of Avatar.

???????? I??understand were your coming from., But you would rather avatar just stop. I wouldn't, I hope there will be other??seasons??maby a complication to prolong the final battle or somthing.??I just can't see This sucessfull show just stopping.????

the problem is, when a successful show is prolonged past the point it was origionally supposed to end...it has a habit of getting a lot worse.

would you rather Avatar last for 3 amazing seasons
or
would you rather it last for 3 amazing season and 1 horrible one filled with filler and a plotline that seems that they picked out of a hat

I read somewhere that there IS talk or a discussion about a fourth season. Nick and the creators are discussing it, I think. But it's not final. I agree though with those who said Avatar should end when it was planned to end. But I also agree with the person who posted this topic--because Avatar is a great show, and it sucks that it's so short. However about the fillers, that could most definitely happen--but the creators are creative, I'm sure if a fourth season was to be released, they'd hatch up something good. Maybe it might even flash forward into the future. I read that Aang was originally supposed to be older anyways. And they could solve the airbenders/Air Nomads thing...

If you've ever seen Samurai Champloo then you'll notice that it ended with less episodes than even the current amount of Avatar eps. That show was awesome for different reasons, but it stresses the point; short and sweet.
Besides, three seasons isn't too bad. As long as they're able to wrap up EVERYONE'S emotional growth and give a spiritually satisfying ending I'm good. Besides, that's why they invented fan fiction.

I understand those who says that The Avatar have to end when it has to, it is true when a show that was supposed to end if continuous it get worse, and that could destroyThe Avatar.
But i also understand those who wants another season, it would very nice, The Avatar is a good show but it's so short.
We have Book 1 Water, Book 2 Earth and we will have Book 3 Fire, why won't we have??Book 4 Air?
I think the creators of The Avatar are very clever they could make a season four very interesting if they want to, it is not necessary for them to make episodes just to fill the schedule.
BOOK 4 AIR, it is a dream and sometimes dreams come true!!

What? How can you possibly hope they DON'T have a fouth season? You have no faith that the creators could come up with a new plot and storyline to top the one they have now? They've suprised us at every step of the way so far, what can you base them not coming up with something??better? That they "originally" planned the series for just 3 seasons? Alot has changed since Avatar was thought up "originally", they added a female Toph on the fly, and is a great character. I'll be greatly disappointed if they just end it at three seasons...

I don't know actually... Avatar is really great, best show ever, but I'm not sure if it's really wise to keep extending the series.
But I'm sure in for a fourth season: air... as long as it's not a season filled with fillers. It would be the most logical thing to do (4 nations, 4 elements)

while the thought of ending the show with three seasons, is exceedingly depressing, since it's such a great show, i think it would suck if they started showing a fourth season, that had an entirely new villain/plot/conflict than the other seasons. it would suck if the show started going downhill and it ended with us hating it. maybe they should quit while they are on top, but only three seasons would suck.

maybe instead of ending season three with ozai's defeat, they save that four the end of season four, and season four can be Air, where aang discovers there are still some airbenders out there, and finds them and they all defeat the fire lord together.

it sounds a little cheesy the way i put it, but i'm sure the writers can work with it.

i hope. i don't want the show to end.

It wouldn't make sense if their are more airbenders for obvious reasons. Since each book correponds to a certain element Aang is trying to master season 4 should be about Aang learning airbending, the closest thing would be about his childhood. They could also talk more about the start of the war and Avatar Roku's involvment and the fall of the airbenders.??

I can't believe you all think the writers are that dumb. Obviously, whether they thought so or not, they had to have written down some ideas for a fourth, maybe even more seasons. You all keep saying, oh it will suck...you don't know that. I'm sure they thought in the back of their mind by the end of Season 1 what they would do and how it would affect the plot. In my opinion and just because I'm another Avatar fan, I want a fourth + seasons. I have no doubt in my mind that it would be as good as any other season. Have faith in the creators, will ya? Thats their job, I'm sure they have something in their mind. Make a poll for fun (to the author of this thread). I bet stopping at a third season would win because mostly everyone says it will be horrible. Disappointing.

Personally I'd rateher see a prequel than a sequel. They told us that Avatar Roku played an important role and I want to know exactly how the war started, just my opinion. I'm sure the Avatar writers have plenty of great ideas though, they haven't dissapointed me yet.
