Cheers to dream interpretations! Being the Avatard that I am, I looked up some stuff, in hopes that....that....hmmm....let me get back to you on that one. XD Anywhos, here's what I found out.

Dragons in dreams signify "that you let yourself get carried away by your passion. This kind of behavior may lead [a person] into the hands of enemies.

In the eastern cultures, dragons are seen as spiritual creatures symbolizing good luck and fortune."

That's all pulled out from some dream interpretation site. Not saying it's true, but hey. I'm just trying to be resourceful here. =P

Now, blue is often associated with stability, calmness, truth, and loyalty.

Red is associated with action, courage, vitality, and confidence.

So how blue ties into the "Azula Dragon," I haven't the slightest clue, cause Azula is neither stable nor calm, and definitely not truthful or loyal [unless maybe to her father]

Where I'm going with all this, I haven't the slightest clue. I'll post some more "dream-interpretations" later, but right now, I'm brain dead. So yeah...

We don't even know how Avatars are chosen, although we might find out in "The Guru".

*giggles* that was one funny moment. even if it did make me jump. was it totally Aang's reflection or Zuko w/ an arrow? anywho, I think your wrong. It means he's going somewhere good, alnog side Aang. He jumped because he's been chasing him & it just kinda freaked him out a bit. Come ON, that was like bright neon this is it. almost like that football that killed his wife's book.

what i think about his dream-

    1) the dragon means- what he wants but not sure if he wants it anymore. he probably only wanted to be firelord because he wanted restore his and his mother;s honor

    2) the other - the freaky one means- that he should stop chasing the avatar & compromise with him. the avatar-aang can help him with his problems & his spirtual crisis.

If Aang had died, the next Avatar would have been from the Water Nation ... so it is highly unlikely that Zuko destiny was related to him being an avatar... more likely the arrow from his dream shows he will only "master" his firebending whel he has chosen to become "part" of the Avatar's destiny.

so how would the avatar cycle go now??? now it's Air, then??Water, then Earth, then??Fire, and finally??ROADBLOCK! because there are no Airbenders anymore.?? but that's granted Aang isn't killed in the Avatar State.

and we see an average age limit is 100 yrs... so Aang has a few kids in the next 30 yrs or so... they have a few kids, who have a few kids... I'm sure at least ONE of these offspring will have the gift of Air Bending...?? Afterall, it will be approximately 400 years before the next AIR Avatar is to return, that's alot of copulation time.

i thought the dream wasn't a prediction. zuko looked like ozai at first, but then he spoke with zuko's voice, so so then i thought oh, okay, that makes way more sense. azula's dragon represents the part of zuko that wants him to keep hunting the avtar, and to keep trying to find it's way back to the throne. iroh's red dragon may have represented the part that wanted him to let go and move on with his life. maybe (i'm just speculating here) if zuko had listened to azula's dragon and "slept" so to speak, zuko may have died.

i think when azula said "just like mother", it may have been zuko's fear and suspicion that his mother's death was because of azula. it's not unreasonable to think that, since azula had made his life a living hell when he lived at the castle, and is partly responsible for the hate his father feels for him, and ever since they met up again in the avatar state, she's been hunting him like an animal. he might be angry at azula for this, too.

and (this is what i think) azula??may have??told ursa that ozai was going to kill zuko, and his mother sacrificed herself. if this happened, then zuko could be trying to blame azula for putting her in that position as a way to take the blame off of him. he's probably feeling guilty about this. some part of him has to realize, it can't be a coincidence that the night he was supposed to die, his grandfather died and his mother disappeared. and the only two people alive who weren't supposed to know about it was him and azula.

i really wish zuko had had more dreams.

The second dream where he saw himself as Aang, I don't what to make of at all. In the back of my mind where I keep crazy theories like Zutara, I've thought, if Avatar can fall in love like any other humans, they can have children like any other humans- what if Zuko is descended from Avatar Roku? I know it's crazy, but it came to mind during that dream.

The first dream I do not think is a prediction of the future by any stretch but strictly symbolic. He was dying; the part of himself that was still loyal to his family's evil couldn't live with himself after what he'd just done and was telling him to give up and die while??another part of himself was telling him to resist and??escape. The blue dragon probably has something to do with the Blue Spirit.

as soon ias i saw fire lord zuko without his scar, it was a forshadow that it would be cured. also, when he "wakes up" and has aang's arrow, i thought it was real and his scar would be gone. they show it slow at first and u see his eye perfectly normal, then they show the top of his head and he waked up. this also forshadowed he will lose his scar

    Ya i totally agree

Them being surrounded with water and all and when katara is crying, then zuko says that this is something that we both have in common with their mothers both being dead and all. And the final clip of the preview kind of gave it away?? with katara touching his scar

I think the dream that zuko had when he woke up and had no scar with the arrow on his head represents that his scar will be cured and he will join aang

O! That actually makes a lot of sense! Wow! I believe dat!
Next part, him as the Fire Lord. I believe that either way, whichever path he chooses, Zuko'll become Fire Lord. In the dream, he was shown as a neutral force, being swayed by either side. I'm not sure, but it looks like Zuko is ultimetly swayed by the Blue Dragon which is evendently, the evil side. But in the next dream, he see's himself as Aang. I believe that means he saw himself chasing Aang through Aang's eyes, realizing what he's been doing.

I don't know, just my thoughts...................

Here is my take on the dreams.

The Dragon Dream - The first significant part about this dream is that Zuko is Fire Lord. I believe this is representative of the power he holds at this stage in his life. The Fire Lord was always strong and powerful, and made decisions that affected the entire world. Zuko's at a critical defining stage, and his choices are going to affect.

Surrounding him are the Azula and Iroh dragon. They are people that shaped him in his life. Strange that Ursa and Ozai are not there, but anyway. Azula is representative of all the traits of Zuko he shares with her: his impatience, lust for power, destructiveness, and deceit. Iroh is representative of the other traits of Zuko that Iroh has been influencing: kindness, patience, calm. The blue dragon is urging Zuko to become complacent, and give in to his own desires; desires of power, of wanting his birthright. The red dragon urges that blue is not to be trusted, and, if blue dragon is representative of Azula, then she surely is not.

Zuko starts to fall asleep, but then the blue dragon hisses out "just like Mother." This is a little hard to interpret because we know so little about Ursa. This could be taken literally, that Ursa gave into her desires to protect Zuko and was punished, or it could be taken metaphorically. Ursa was clearly the good influence in Zuko's life, and getting complacent with the blue dragon would mean the death of those good things.

The Face Dream - Zuko and Aang were always presented as parallels to each other. Both of them were scarred (Aang learning he was the Avatar, Zuko's banishment), were torn away from loving parental figures(Monk Gyasto and Princess Ursa). In "Bitter Work" we saw how psychological impediements prevented them from mastering their bending. In a way, their minds are preventing them from mastering their own power: especially firebending (Aang's resolution that he will never firebend again because of it's power, and Zuko's inability to bend lightning).

The Avatar is, according to Iroh, extremely powerful because he combines everything into one. Although Zuko cannot bend any element other then fire, he not only utilizes a waterbending technique, but he combines knowledge and the attitudes of different cultures. Living in the Earth Kingdom for so long as clearly changed his outlook. ??
