Too bad we didn't see much of him in the finale. I lol'ed at Toph though (to Katara), "I knew it! You did have a secret thing with Haru!"

Or something along those lines x]

There was only one problem with the finale.
Consider that, in The Boiling Rock, Zuko fought Azula.
And in The Southern Raiders, Zuko fought Azula.
    Anyone see the problem?
In the finale, ANOTHER Zuko/Azula fight!
I know it was an Agni Kai, but it's customary in finales to raise the stakes even higher, to make the villains even more evil, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, etc.
This was done with Ozai and his 'burn the world' plan.
But just another fight between Zuko and Azula?
What if, in the depths of her madness, Azula thought her father plotted against her, and gathered together a group of assassins to off him when he came back? And Katara ran into them while Zuko is battling Azula? That'd be one cool way to up the drama of the finale!
For the assassins, I see a recovered Combustion Man (metal arm as well as metal leg - he lost a body part in that fall at the Western Air Temple - and due to his injury to his chi he can't fire bend exactly like before, so he uses some funnel or something to direct his fire bending third eye so he doesn't blow himself up), one of those guys from the Rough Rhinos (maybe the masked guy who threw the bombs?) and a new character, a female with the ability to copy others' moves (like Marvel Comics' Taskmaster). So she can fight like a Kyoshi Warrior, wield blades like Jet, maybe even walk up walls like the Dai Li (using special spike shoes and gloves, though). Then we'd see a real battle! Combustion Man would be the strongman of the group, since his bending isn't as explosive as before.

There's not going to be a season 4, but there is a chance that there will be a whole new series.

will it feature the same chacters

No, it won't. If anything it will be all new characters. Aang might be included just because he's the last Avatar. He'll probably be in the series just as much as Roku was.

Zuko has to be included too: where's his mother?

This question was definately left unanswered for a reason.

Maybe they'll just say where she is in the DVD commentary?

Oh that would be just horrible...

Besides, nowhere do the creators state that the same characters won't be back in the next plotline.

    I'll stay hopeful!

    so will i,

if the new series has all new characters its going to be rubish

True that, I mostly watch Avatar because, well it's awesome and beautiful and deep, but I love Sokka(as in admire, not a nutcase who's in love with her cartoon characters, he he) and if he only appears as a cameo, I'll cry

    17. If Avatar was rated more maturely, couldn't Katara bend an enemy's blood out of it's body to kill him/her??

so it ended with one cliffhanger. I assume we'll find out about zuko's mom in the movie I've heard about. All in all a fabulous ending. Loved seeing a female airbender! I shall call her an air nun.

Azula was always Zuko's personal enemy to beat. Those other two times the fight never had a conclusion as something always interrupted it. Now we have a definitive answer, Zuko>>>Azula now.

Man, like all great things. I'm still dying for more Avatary goodness. *sigh*

the finale was good, and there were some really awesome things about it (like the battles, which were just spectacular), but there were a lot of problems with it too, along with things that didn't get cleared up. most of these have already been said, but they really are big problems.

    1. not exactly a problem, but Sokka has now lost all 3 things that made him who he was (besides his pure awesomeness)- Hawky, who just disappeared, boomerang, who was supposed to always come back, and his space sword, which I thought was going to hve some cool power.

    2. During Zuko's coronation, there were 4 lines of people, Im assuming for the 4 nations. But, there are no known Airbenders left, and the writers wouldn't just put them in without an explanaation, so who was in the last line?

    3. Where the hell were Hakoda and all the others that were with the gaang during the movie? did they just disappear?

    4. All the elements had some sort of super-form- fire had lightning, water had plant and blood, earth had metal, and I thought that in the finale they were going to show some form of super-airbending, but they didnt.

    5. A lot of the characters had unfinished storylines, but Toph's was COMPLETELY unfinished, and that sucks because she was my favorite character.

    6. Everyone in the Fire Nation wanted to take over the world. Iroh kept talking about like restoring the honor of the Fire Nation, but the people wanted what the FireLord was doing. Zuko may be creating an era of peace, but the era is unwantd by his subjects.

    7. Finally, the Avatar State. the Guru said it was blocked because Aang could not let go of Katara, and that he would never agian be able to get into the State, yet simply by hitting a rock, he was able to restart it? That made no sense at all.

So, yeah. Sorry abot that little rant, but I had to get that out there.

Azula became more evil and mentally unstable because of the power (influence) she was about to receive, and that made her fight as the devil itself!

Ok, I rewatched the second half, and I laughed SO DAMN HARD at this one part. I guess I missed it the first time, but I literally choked on my powerade out of laughing.

Remember when Suki asks, "So did you... you know... finish the job?" And then Ozai goes "I'm still alive." In this creepy demented voice, and Suki was so confused, she like freaked out.

    That was SO funny.

    Wah. I still miss Avatar.
