Look, M. Night will probably watch the show while filming, or at least the first season, so it's not like his naivity will last long.

He'll either realize what he's getting into and back out or do it the right way.

Plus Mike and Bryan have confidence in him.

He's the director. Not the writer.

He can't screw up that bad.

I'll feel better if he doesn't write the movie. I trust him in directing, but when it comes to writing it... he just better not have some kind of tweest in it -_-

    *reads article*
    Huh
He'll only direct the first movie, wich will be shot at Greenland and Vietnam.

    That is kinda wierd.

I wonder who would direct the second and third movies if Shyamalan decides not to?

But i wonder, why did he decide not to? Viacom obviously didn't plan to have one director for the first one and another for the rest, that would be a waste of money, and i certanly don't believe that he would get "tired" and decide to leave a warranteed job.

That is a bit wierd, maybe Shaymin Sky Forme-malan uses plot twists on his every day life...

Looks like Night is pulling a Lucas. By that I mean he'll write, direct, and produce the 1st movie, then hand over directing the remaining 2 films to someone else while still writing and producing them. Less work load.

Yeah, im not too fond of this idea. i always pictured them pulling a LOTR and filming them at the same time. It does take place within a year anyway. Plus, we dont want to see Aangs voice change and suddenly grow between the first and second film.

All that part about the asian warriors on horseback means was that he chopped up stock footage to make a pseudo-trailer. If you want to draw it to compare with another movie, the first Star Wars reel was made with an action demo as an animatic for the Death Star sequence. This was edited stock WW2 video.

This means that Avatar: The Last Airbender is as likely to have asian warriors on horseback as Star Wars is likely to have a howitzer.

You know what would be cool...howitzers in "The Last Airbender."

    lulz

But, if M. Night Shaymin [please tell me that you get this referense! i'll give you anything you want! money, cookies, power, women... men?] did the scrip, i would expect somethings like:
    Ozai was the Blue Spirit.
Sokka is actually the Avatar. [Aang tries to waterbend and phails, eventuallly leading to that discovery]
Every bender is actually an alien.
Momo is a lemur trained by Zhao.
The Earth Kingdom was the one to start the war.
    And lastly:
They are all a part of Roku's mind, what he thinks will happen if he doesn't kill his best friend Sozin who is actually his father and brother.
