in the sozins comet comic books mike and brain said that for airbenders to come back there needs to be balanced in the world. right now there still isnt balanced so aang and zuko will balance it out and i think aang will give some airbending power to that one temple that has the flying gliders and air bollons. i thinks that another reason the turtle lion gave aang that power to defeat ozia the way aang wanted to and to get the airbenders back from genocide.

at the beggining of each episode i think the earth bender is the general from the episode AVATAR STATE. it looks like him but without a shirt on?????

    HEEYYYYYY!!!!!!!

    Wait a second now!!!!

I saw this in a fan comic, but monks cant have sex. At least buddhist monks which i think the air nomads were based off. That would be breaking their precet. Sooooo. How is it the air bending gene is gentically passed down?

The only reason i can think of is that there are lay practioners who practice the air nomad ways but arnt hardcore monks.

I think there are more airbenders and a new series needs to be made to try and answer some of those questions. I don't want to except that Aang is the last one just because of a title.

Omg I need my Avatar fix! Please make a new series/season!!!

By Booter right? Lol. I think I read that one.

Anyway, then explain to me one thing then, even if the airbenders are based off of Bhuddist Monks (which they are), then how the heck did they freaking maintain a whole entire nation?

Hmm... I don't think they formed an official political organization. Why are they commonly called the Air Nomads and not the Air Nation.

I dont get what your asking? They were a religious society run by monks i guess? Kinda like the dali lama, and ya know the dali lama institution might be broken because china interfered with the traditions and what not.. similar to the avatars situation.

But what im asking is how can air bending be genetic if the monks dont reproduce. And i was thinking there were lay practioners who practice the air nomad way but they arnt monks so they marry have sex etc. And they can live a lay life or a monastic one.

Well after seeing the finale and what Aang did to Ozai, it made me wonder that now he can bend energy does that mean he can give people the power to bend a certain element? I would assume so. So i think then he will make airbenders out of people and teach them and pass on the monks knowledge. Idea's would be great - Thanks

monks at Avatar world is NOT the same as monks at Tibet

    and BTW

wonder how Kwai Chang Caine had Mathew Caine son, Kwai Chang Caine grandson and Peter Caine as great grandson? "Kung Fu TV series"

so there are monks that have families, is not a rule that all monks stay celibate in RL as you want to suggest

Im not saying tibet is the same as air nomads. but perhaps the avatar Aang is based off of. They never really told us how the air nomad society works so we dont know, and that isnt the question im asking, and i dont know why the person asked how how the society was maintained when i was asking something different.

Anyway, your wrong that buddhist monks have sex, if thats what you mean. Perhaps they may break their precept or whatever but it is forbidden.

And referring to kung fu, i looked it up on wiki. Apparently he studied with the shoalin monks which are buddhist. shoalin monks arnt allowed to have children. And his master was a monk, not his father. He was orphaned from american and chinese parents. Sure he has family, but not husband wife child kinda family. If he did have children. he wouldnt be considered a monk anymore and live a lay buddhist life.

Anyway what im suggesting is there are lay air nomads who do have sex and carry the air bending gene...

Tibetan monks arent exactly like air nomads but bryke seemed to have gotten ideas from their culture and put some of it in the Air nomads culture

    that is the key

    some, but not all

but some people keep insisting in making it "all" the same
