i guess they'd just call it 'sokka's sword' or 'the meteor sword', or killdozer, whatever works.

Ok, so here is a question; I am not sure if it has been asked or not but I am putting it out there anyway. Does the writers strike affect Avatar as well? I am not sure how far into production they do each episode and I know that Avatar isn't too keen on giving reliable air dates in the past....but does the writers strike put an even bigger wrench in the releasing process? And if not, is there any reason as to WHY Nick does this to people? I mean, its not like they are lacking funds to create and produce one of their current hot cartoons. Perhaps that is the reason...they don't want it to end???? Just some thoughts, although I would like to know about the strike bit.

No, Avatar scripts were finished long before the strike, and all the episodes are done. (It takes something like 9 months to make an episode. )

As for why their not airing any new episodes, the shows just on hiatus. They have a schedule and are sticking too it. The longer you can draw a show out, the more money you make on commercials, merchandise, etc.

the thing to realise with this issue is that the entire season was finished back in august, that's right, it's done, completed, ready to be aired, the tapes are sitting in some office right now gathering dust, if they wanted to, they could air every single episode right now.

Most cartoons are not effected by the strike, I think only Family Guy, American Dad! & The simpsons.

I don't care about the other two shows but as far as I know all but one of The Simpsons episodes for this season have been completed.
