SPOILERS IN THIS POST. Okay. I really think that was possibly the worst of the series. I was pleased Suki came back, and I knew Smellerbee was a girl pretty much since I first saw her. Glad they made a point of it. Katara was OOC in this episode. Much too bossy. Sokka was a bit girl-crazed, and Aang seems to be returning to his original character. Toph seemed to add a lot of idiocy to the movie. I didn't feel it was rushed, I felt it moved too slowly. Toph x Sokka made me laugh. Then I thought, "Suki... and Toph... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" You know it's going to happen via fanfiction. x_X Aang all of a sudden rocks at Earthbending. How'd they get out of the desert? Appa fell into the background even though I knew that would happen anyway. Mai is obviously not going to be a main character, which is a shame as I really liked her until this episode. I enjoyed Ty Lee, I had to explain to my parents that her "aura couldn't be pinker" then they got all the jokes. ^-^ Imitation Aangs = YAYNESS Suki and Sokka felt a bit rushed, but I preferred those scenes to Yue and Sokka's. That KataraxZuko scene rocked. I thought they would show more than just two of those scenes though. I feel like this show has changed. I felt the whole episode was talking down to me. When Toph said, "The drill's pressure points!" I felt like crying. Toph added nothing and made me feel like a loser. Anybody else think it was hilarious when Sokka passed out from the birth? That made me laugh, it was really funny. I really thought they were going to name the baby "Yue" instead of "Hope" which also made me feel it was a show for younger kids than me. I didn't like the CGI for the drill. I actually don't like the CGI in the show. Actually, the drill didn't look right to me at all... x_X So... 5/10. Actually, 6/10 for the first episode. The Suki protecting Sokka and Sokka protecting Suki thing made my evening.

I have to disagree with alot of what you said.

First, Katara was not OOC. She has been getting bossier and bossier the whole season, so it would have been OOC if she hadn't been.

Second, of course Sokka is girl crazed, he's about 15 right... yeah, he's going to be a little girl crazed.

Third, Aang dosn't suddenly rock at earthbending for several reasons. A) Just because we didn't watch him train, dosn't mean he hasn't been. He said himself he's been training like crazy. B) He's the Avatar, he already knew how to earthbend in previous lives, he just had to remember. Don't you remember how quickly he picked up water bending in The Water Scroll? C) He was just don't easy bending, piling up rocks and shooting them away. That dosn't seem super advanced.

Fourth, I'm sure the walked out of the desert.

Fifth, I don't see how Mai could become less of a main character then Ty Lee. They're traviling together. Thats like saying Sokka is not going to be a main character because Katara is overshadowing him.

Sixth, this is a kids shows, so I'm not surprised they had to have Toph explain the pressure point thing. They have done this sort of think in tons of previous episodes.

And the seventh thing I disagree with is the CGI drill. I didn't think it was to bad, although I could see why you might not have liked it.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts.

I'm probably going to watch the episode again and see if I like it more the second time. That's what happened with "The Desert."

Well we can't all be impressed But some parts you chewed out for seemed a bit unfair.

yeah. I liked the toph scenes and I have no idea what you mean about about the episodes looking down at you....like...as in meaning you feel stupid? So shows tend to have characters explain obvious situations because Avatar IS show for kids and some kids might not understand what Sokka meant. Is that what you meant?

actually that's what i meant...a King Cobra has a "beauty" about it...but it also carries a deadly poison...but i can't think of any other animals that look good and can kill you in an instant like Azula...

Geez. I was just sharing my opinion, didn't want everybody to get so worked up about it.

By the way, the encore is on tonight at 8. ^_^ Gonna record it this time around, and watch it again.
