I think who you think are going to end up together is what you prefer. That is the case a lot of the time. But some people do look at the facts rather than basing them on there opinions. I prefer Kataang, Maiko, Tokka, and Toko. Kataang is really possible but Maiko kind of became less likely when Zuko joined the gaang. But there is still hope. Tokka is getting more possible but Sukko is in the way and is even more possible. Toko is somewhat possible but there is such an age gap. I usually don't say age matters but that's a big gap. According to wikipedia Zuko just turned 17. so that's either a 4 year gap or a 5 year gap. If they were a little older It would be more possible but for now its not.

Maiko-Face it people they were made for each other. Mai understands Zuko and is a lot happier around him. Zuko taught Mai how to express her feelings and makes Zuko happier. Mai was the only reason why Zuko wanted to stay loyal to Ozai. I'm sure Mai will betray Azula. The only reason she joined Azula was because she was bored in Omashu.

Kataang- Come on!!! If you don't think kataang is going to happen. WOW! You must be pretty stupid. That or when you watch the episodes and when there is a Kataang moment you are to busy wishing that was a zutara moment so you miss the whole thing. Why would they make the main character end up lonely when he likes Katara. The series has to end happily. Plus the creators said in the audio commentary for the DOBS that Katara and Zuko aren't supposed to be together. You may say if katara likes Aang she sure is taking her sweet time. Well if you have noticed the love seems to build over time. Toph wasn't in love with Sokka at first but after being with the gang for a while she started to like him and now is starting to like him more. Aang did like Katara when he first saw her but it was just a little cute crush he had on her. Over time he started to like her more and more till he got to the point of almost telling her several times only to be interrupted. We do know that in the headband katara was jealous when Aang was dancing with Onji. So I think she did like him then. And she did return the kiss in the day of black sun. You may say Kataras love for Aang is motherly. Does a mother get jealous when her son is dancing with another girl that's not her? I don't think os they sit there and say awww how cute. Also does a mother kiss her son back when he kisses her on the lips I don't think so. Although Kataang happening is not a fact yet it is pretty close when you look at all the evidence and is way closer to a fact than zutara that's for sure.

NOTE: I said if you THINK kataang is not going to happen NOT if you don't support kataang that's your opinion.

Tokka- Seems to be coming closer to a fact. We already know that Toph likes Sokka but what about Sokka liking Toph? Well we might be starting to break through here. In the DOBS Sokka was constantly praising Tophs skills. Now that probably doesn't prove more than the fact that Sokka is finally realizing that Toph is really useful but it could be more than that.

Sukko-Very possible. The only thing holding it back is the fact that Suki is in prison and for all we know she could be dead. And if Azula wasn't lying about Suki giving up on Sokka it could be all ove for Sukko but I don't think that's likely.

Toko- Not very possible unfortunately. L They have a lot in common and they would be able to understand each other but the age difference is to much. Maybe when they get older they will be together. That's very ounlikely though because by thye end of the series they characters will probably have the shippings all settled and they wont be that much older.

Taang- Are you serious? The only Taang that I know of is the orange drink Tang that is like lemonade and comes in packets of powder. They have nothing in common. Toph is the sarcastic tough one and Aang is the playful one. He still has his immature moments but he has matured greatly. Aang is deeply in love with Katara and Toph is in love with Sokka.

Zutara- I wonder who made that pairing up? Face the facts people its not going to happen. I know sometimes the truth hurts. There is no evidence for Zutara what so ever. The zutara moment or what you call a zutara moment (I don't consider when they were in the crystal caticomes a moment Katara is just plain nice to anyone and likes to see the good in anyone. By the way don't challenge that because that came from one of the creators in the audio commentary for the crossroads of destiny if you have the book 2 volume 4 DVD check for yourself) has already happened. Yes Katara will eventually soften up on Zuko but going from Hate to love is a big step in 8 episodes.

+No, it was about how a lot of Zutarians like to say, "Katara is Aang's mother" and then used her looking like Zuko's mom as a positive for Zutara. Their reputation includes them using glaring double standards when it comes to Aang (and Mai).

*Ok, I see what you're saying now. With me, I don't think that Zuko ever saw Katara as his mother just because she tried to make his boo-boo all better. First, like I said, he never saw her in the outfit that looked like his mother's. Second, the way he acted when Ozi was talking to him about his mother showed that he would never do anything to hurt her. He risked a huge fight with his dad just to hear what happened to her. If he thought Katara was like his mother, he would never have sided with Azula.

+Actually they can, otherwise they would have stayed broken up since The Beach. She's not so perpetually bored around Zuko either, as you can see. They relate to each other in all of their positive interaction.

*Except the theme of "The Beach" was all about confessing your true feelings. Mai said she still cared about Zuko, but, correct me if I'm wrong, Zuko never said that he still loved her after the break up. Zuko didn't stay broken up with her because he still had his crush on her at the time and probably still has that crush on her. I'm going to guess that, until that scene with Zuko in a chair and Mai leaning against a wall comes around, Zuko is not going to realize that he isn't really in love with her. For now, though, the only person he feels any level of feelings of love for is Mai (excluding his mother).

+Some people just don't catch things like that when it's not on their list of priorities or if they simply don't notice. It can't be any more obvious to Zuko that he better not hurt Aang (he won't) or Katara will kill him. That's definitely a turn-off.

For now, yes. Zuko does not have romantic feelings for Katara. He does, however, hold her in high regards.

Allow me to explain.

As I have mentioned before, the only girls who have been allowed to touch Zuko's scar are Mai and Katara. While this doesn't mean that, if he respects you enough to let you touch his scar, he's in love with you, it does show that, in order for him to be in love with you, he has to respect you enough to let you touch his scar.

The other thing is his reactions to everyone in 3-13. When Aang humored him about his firebending, he snapped at him. When Sokka made sarcastic comments out his firebending before AND after he got it back, Zuko yelled at him. Heck, he practically exploded at Sokka before he got it back. However, when Katara made her sarcastic comments about his firebending, both before AND after he got it back, he didn't yell, snap, or do anything negative. He stayed calm and answered the question or continued talking.

Again, I'm not saying that it's love. I'm saying, he holds her in high regards. She still thinks he's a prick
