Zutara is very superficial and lacking in spirituality Aang loves Katara with all the powerful love of a whole defunct race
Go Kataang!!

Sometimes, love doesn't make sense. Such is the case for aang and the firelord. But tha'ts the reason the firelord is so desparate to capture aang. However, one shipping that makes perfect, logical sense is Zutara. Jake/Rose, Zuko/ Katarra |

That explains why I hate Zutara... I hated the titanic couple too. Seriously, why is it that girls in romantic movies can't respect the wishes of the guys?! Same reason I hated Juliet from Romeo x Juliet. Romeo spends like the last 3 episodes saying to Juliet "Juliet, I want you to live! That is my wish and the wish of everyone that loves you. PLEASE, obey it" What does she do? She dies! I know how the play ends, but the anime was WAY different from the play to start with. It just made me want to choke her... that and the fact she never won a fight. Not once. How the hell was she suppoused to lead a rebellion when she's so.... ugh! |
Yes, I too hate zutara ... The fact that it was based on an capriciously aesthetic issue the fact that the hot guy older you stick with the beautiful young girl, I think it is absolutely superficial and empty sentimentally, Zutara reminds me the end disney "the prince with the peasant" is quite irritating for me and quite spent.
I hope that Kataang happens because is the couple more pure, deep and spiritual that I have ever seen, the feeling of love inherent in both characters are transformed into various forms and is evolving throughout the show, regardless aesthetically is very unusual and interesting that a child monk falls in love with a peasant girl, and that's what I love Bryan and Mike, they were not influenced to argue the Kataang by the rules of society nor romantic stereotypes
kataang is absolutely legitimate and authentic , I have to say Go Kataang!!

Sorry, but I think you're blatantly ignoring the characters in this show. While we're not sure if Katara is in love with Aang, it's obvious she likes him and the show can't make it any more plain. Aang loves Katara, Zuko loves Mai, and that's it. Zutara's not going to happen, period.
On another note. Should Zuko and Katara hug, which they probably will, will Zutarians deem it as love even if it's the same way Katara's hugged Aang a numerous amount of times?
And again, what is there in the show that suggest that Katara doesn't like Aang back? Or are you going to use the same tired "she's his mother" arguement because that's since been shot down thanks to "The Runaway." Katara is everyone's mother, even her own brother. Aang has actually had the least of her mothering throughout the whole show. If anything, the one positive interaction that Zuko and Katara had was Katara being Zuko's mother by offering to heal his boo-boo to make his life all better.
If you're going to say "it's a cliche," then you have to look at how Zutara is just as cliche as Kataang. In my opinion, Zutara is more cliche.
And please don't take how I've said things too seriously, it's not meant to hurt your feelings or anything.

That's right, especially since Aang betrayed Katara, tried to burn her face off at one point, and threatened to hurt her. Oh wait... -Aang loves Katara? OMG total surprise.
-Mai was a school yard crush at best for Zuko. They have figuratively nothing in common. They revealed that much in "The Beach."
-Even if it doesn't, Katara's going to fall for Zuko if for no other reason than for the writers to put Zuko in that kind of predicament. You have to admit, a situation like that sounds like it'd fit perfectly up Zuko's alley.

Wow, how many times have I had to answer that.
-Katara didn't smile after the kiss. Hey, boy of your dreams that you've been secretly in love with just kissed you smack on the lips. Don't you think she'd smile.
-In "The Firebending Masters" when Zuko tells everyone that he can't firebend anymore, Aang and Katara are sitting as far apart as everyone else. I'm sorry, you two are a new, deeply in love couple and every day really could be the last for one of you; don't you think that they'd want to snuggle up as much as possible?
-Everyone's mother does include Aang's.
-In part two of DoBS, when Aang comes back after failing, Katara just puts her hand on his shoulder and lets him cry. What? Boyfriend is crying and not even a kiss to make him feel better? Don't you think she'd be eager to return the kiss, especially after he was feeling so bad about epically failing at what he'd been training his butt off for?

So, as I've said, either Zuko and Katara will fall in love with each other or Aang will love Katara, who'll love Zuko, who'll love Mai, but can't be with her. Either way, Zuko's going to be in for one hell of a ride.

so now everyone thinks they know what Mike and Bryan think? all that we know for sure is that Mike and Bryan WANT TO KEEP THE SHIP WAR GOING, and that is why they INTENTIONALLY made the scene at DOBS ambiguous |
I have done Kataang but I haven't turned it into an animated GIF yet (waiting for the romantic cinematic to be precise).
