Zuko made a bad judgement call with what he said to Aang, just like Katara made a bad judgement call with what she said to Sokka about their mother (And she should have apologized, that was uncalled for and I honestly thought less of her. Angry or not, there should have been an apology.). It was immature but he did apologize, so that shows that he's grown as a person and is quite mature.
I was surprised however about how he sided with Katara on forgiveness. Certainly he understood her, but with everything going on with the Gaang, I'm very surprised this didn't get brought up. Hmm.
As far as 'Zutara' moments go: LMFAO. If a hug counts, then Katara must want to ship with a HELL of a lot of people. No I'm not a Kataang fan, I'm just saying, I saw more 'redemeption' for Zuko with the trust issues Katara had towards him, which overall was affecting how she felt with him being in the group and the overall tone with everyone getting resolved than 'shipping'.
I do think however that tonights episode will have a good impact on the shipping war, since Kataang literally gets brought up. (Though if the book is right, then we already know who won apparently.)
Screw Katara. I want to be with Zuko.

I believe must people are referring to when Zuko said something like. "Guru Goody" & "This isn't monk preschool". |
yea i thouth that was pretty funy. i mean he couldn't ahve been THAT serious about what he said. and i think he was just agreeing with katara cuz he felt the same way about his mom getting taken from him so , like katara, he said some things he didn't mean.
i would have liked to see katara apologize to sokka. when she said that she loved their mom more, that was so brutal. yikes.

Yeah, I get that. But at the same time, I suppose I was expecting Zuko to have more of a middle ground: understanding Katara's side of the matter but having gone through the same experience with the Gaang, understanding what Aang was saying as well.
And as far as relating to Aang, I think that's actually kind of funny: when Aang found out what happened to his parental figure, he was a flurry of emotions and it was Katara who was able to calm him down about what the Fire Nation had done and made him realize that he had a new family in her and Sokka and that everything would be fine. I understand her pain and all, but I guess I was expecting her to be a little more understand of what Aang and Sokka were trying to say insteading of being almost (in some peoples opinion) OoC angry like she was. She's been a ***** before but a lot of that was uncalled for. (I'm sorry, the Sokka thing, given the incident, hits a little to close to home.)
Man, I'm glad I'm not part of this ship war. I can't WAIT to see how the EIP episode is interpreted by each side. ::Eats popcorn and waits::
I already saw the EIP episode an hour ago, and believe me, I think it will give Kataang shippers a heartattack

lol yea. Although it made me happy because I ship Zutara |
I wouldn't get too happy though, since the only thing 'Zutara' in that episode were the players on stage and there's still the lack of evidence and TBR to contend with. (No offense, but I'm being honest.) And we know how accurate that play was. However it was a dark point for Kataang fans, I'm sure. But then again, of course we won't get our answer as to who she ends up with until the finale. This isn't Harry Potter where we find out a book before the finale.

(I'm going to repeat what I've said before) "Kataang needed a little hurt. It had been reigning supreme for several episodes. That does not set up Zutara, however. Every romance part of a show needs a little hitch, a setback, otherwise it would just be boring and stale. Kataang needs to overcome something unbelieveable to make the relationship look better. In my opinion, Zutara is pretty much dead because there is only the four episodes to start a romance. That's not enough time to get it acheived properly. While Kataang is already up and running with only a few things that need to be taken care of, Zutara needs to be built because let's face it: there is nothing there but friendship." I usually don't consider myself as a shipper, but I'm falling a little close to that margin. :/ |

As a Zutara fan, and not obsessor, that part of the play made me choke on my ice cream. I thought, "Bryke must have had a field day!" |
